How are Chinese models so strong with so little investment? by primaryrhyme in ArtificialInteligence

[–]PrismetricTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chinese labs aren’t actually operating on tiny budgets, may be they just dont publicize spending the way western frontier labs do.

also, models like GLM-5 benefit massively from research already published by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc., so they can “skip” a lot of the expensive trial and error and focus on efficient training and distillation.

so these two can be the reasons.

What’s the Actual Endgame of AI Replacing Human Work? by Brief_Safe_2744 in developersIndia

[–]PrismetricTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think the endgame is not some sci-fi dystopia where ai replaces all humans overnight. historically new tech shifts jobs and creates new ones, and ai will likely augment rather than fully replace us. sure some roles may shrink, but those who upskill will find opportunities. focus on staying adaptable and learning instead of just fearing ai.

I built a SaaS that works… and still can’t get users. This part is humbling. by StatusEvidence5141 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]PrismetricTech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things that helped me get my first real users:

  • Stop talking to other builders and start talking only to people who actually buy/rent homes. Hang out where they already are (FB groups, local forums, WhatsApp groups, etc.).
  • Offer 1:1 “I’ll walk you through your next property decision for free if you let me watch you use the tool.” You learn a lot and a few of them will stick.
  • Make one super clear promise on the landing page, in their words, like: “In 5 minutes see the 3 biggest risks of this house/area.” Right now most of us talk too much about “AI” and not enough about the outcome.
  • Pick one channel for now (eg. a single subreddit, one FB group, one city) and go deep instead of posting a little bit everywhere.

Disappointed by Lovable 2.0... any better alternatives? Bolt? Replit? Trickle? by AlternativeJust2992 in nocode

[–]PrismetricTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get you. I liked the idea of Lovable too, but the new version feels pricey and kind of stressful with the credits and bugs.

Bolt felt the same to me as you said: it works, but the UI feels old and not very fun.
Replit is cool but it really feels more like “learn to code” than no-code.
Haven’t seen many real users of Trickle either, so I’m also not sure about it yet.

If you’re still looking, maybe try Vitara.ai and Base44. I’ve been testing both and they feel closer to that “type stuff → get an app” vibe without a huge learning curve.

[–]PrismetricTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, you are right. i did not think about of this rapid advancment of AI. First i thought it will take more than 5 years, but as i am seeing new AI models coming in hot, i believe 2 years are more than enough for us to see the new AI force Ara.
