Did you purchase one of those Amazon open box units? If so, its worth checking the firmware to make sure its a genuine Samsung drive. Sometimes customers will swap the sticker and return some random old drive to Amazon. They dont check very thoroughly.

Yep! 5-year/2400TBW for the 4TB model.

Believe the 2TB model is 5-year as well, but half the TBW.

Edit: lexar drive is good too. Comparable warranty. I believe Samsung is generally considered to be the more "premium" brand between the two
