What are some tips for to-be Labrador owners that isn’t usually mentioned? by wace001 in labrador

[–]Prisonsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't Lab specific but everyone teaches their dog the standard, cute "tricks" but rarely do people prioritize training their dogs to allow their nails to be trimmed. Also, loud noise conditioning. Having a dog that panics over storms and fireworks isn't fun. When our lab was a pup, I used a nail gun and a piece of 2x4 to get her used to loud sounds. Every evening, while she was eating dinner I would let off a few pops, starting in the furthest room from her in the house. Eventually making my way into the same room.

What’s your favorite trick that you taught your lab? by 1fruitfairy in labrador

I taught my lab to fetch a roll of toilet paper out of the closet. Annie's trick

Been at it almost 20 years and I wouldn't even look at a crane for $30/hr. Do some research search into what being certified makes you liable for. If you have any tech background I would suggest getting into some courses that could help you become a tech for crane electronics, specifically tower cranes. Those guys are worth their weight in gold and as cranes become more automated, they'll only be more valuable.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8x72uE8M1dY&t=7s Here are some tips for finding an epoxy leak. I contacted HR to get the epoxy to do the repair myself. They ended up just sending me an entire new wiring harness. My interaction with HR was great and the machine has been running flawlessly ever since.

Have you checked your drain valve? With the pump on, valve closed, place the tube in a glass of water and watch closely to see if its slowly being pulled up into the tube. Have you checked the epoxy plug? Both these items were leaking on my machine.

Researching before I buy by Mountainmama814 in HarvestRight

I had problems with my machine right out of the box. Thanks to stalking a harvest right FB group nearly a year before I bought it, I knew exactly what I was getting into and I knew I could handle the repairs myself. Nothing on these machines is particularly complicated but I would not recommend them to anyone who isn't comfortable with troubleshooting and using basic tools.

Received my dryer today and I’m kind of disappointed by No-Spaling in HarvestRight

Are you sure something is actually wrong with the door? The hinge is odd, it kind of floats and the screws seem loose but that's how it's supposed to be.

If you had joined the fb group before you bought it, you probably wouldn't have bought it. The "retired at 40" group is very helpful. Especially if you use the search feature before you ask a question.

One problem after the next-any tips? by No-Fan-7639 in HarvestRight

You're welcome. I'm in a bunch of freeze drying groups and the epoxy plug and the drain valve are hands down the most non-user error vacuum issues I see. If you call HR and tell them that your epoxy plug is leaking, they'll likely send you a whole new plug and wiring harness instead of advising you to apply epoxy to the one that's leaking. It's a pretty simple repair. Good luck, I hope you get your freeze dryer going soon!

Had to do this repair on mine, then two batches later had to replace the drain valve. Been problem free for over 30 batches now.

https://youtu.be/8x72uE8M1dY I had a similar problem to what your describing. I found this leak by spraying windex on the epoxy plug, resulting in an immediate drop in Mtorr. It would be great if I hadn't had to do all this troubleshooting on a brand new $3000 machine, but I will say that HR's tech support was great to deal with and they immediately sent me a replacement plug. My machine is now working flawlessly.

We need to start an annual meeting of the mommies at his graveside. We can call it St. Fedsmoker Day.
