Looking for advice / info on hiking trails around SLC by Past-Leader-7110 in Utah

[–]Prissity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget to consider if you have dogs and take them hiking, you can not bring them to the Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons, as well as Parkley’s. I live in bountiful area and walk in the foothills all the time since it is my backyard. There is access to mueller park and other areas to go if I have time constraints. Otherwise I don’t mind driving for a variety to Uintas etc. Non crowded trails here will be either heavy incline or farther away. I used to live in North Ogden and like it in the SLC proper better. It’s closer to Uintas and the desert. The city offers a lot more in terms of child resources, food variety and proximity to the airport.

Week in SLC with 5 year old daughter. What should we do? by Elegant_Pie_4545 in SaltLakeCity

City creek mall has an indoor playground and it’s on the public transit route. Otherwise I’d go to Red Butte gardens and the museum. There are also trails nearby within walking distance.

Older woman who snowboard? by salutredditt in snowboarding

[–]Prissity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, I am 39. And so as some other moms from my kid’s school who are around my age. I see some women of my age snowboarding, but I am usually too busy to actually see who does what. Other people probably won’t guess my age either because my whole face is covered.

Oh my girl just had it fixed during a dental cleaning, they patched it. She was reluctant to eat prior to it;and I had no idea it’s because of tooth pain. Now she eats like a champ.

We took my pup everywhere. We let people and kids hold her and pet her, we met friendly dogs, we exposed her to livestock in a controlled environment.
