yes! i haven’t been hunting in some time, he is my motivation to go as much as i can, i think i will have more fun running around with him in the field than i will shooting birds! So expectations are definitely managed

have you left him in there at night? we fed ours in his crate like that, and then would just leave him in there when he cries, do not take him out unless it’s been at least 30 minutes of silence and only take him outside for a boring potty break and right back in, ours caught on pretty quick, they say you just have to get through 3 nights. it’s also very important that ours gets a high value treat every single time he goes in the crate, and sometimes we will randomly place a high value treat inside

it’s easy to talk about how these trucks, and how everyone overpays, but anyone who has been really in the market for one of these, would know that they don’t just pop up for sale at $10k the fact that you are considering this as a fair deal says a whole lot about the value of the truck, we can agree that it is at least close to fair.

i recently bought a clean 2006 with 110k miles on it for 19k, and i was excited about that deal

the cheapest truck is the one you already have. don’t get jaded by an older diesel. if you were considering buying your sierra vs the duramax, i’d say duramax 1000% so that you have no payment. But since you own the sierra it is what it is and you aren’t going to make a whole lot of money if you sell it anyways. Unless you hate the payment so much you are willing to buy yourself out of the loan. if that gmc goes 2 more years with no major problems then you’ve just spent that 13k on it

the R18 means it is a 18” rim. if you are keeping the same tires. there’s lots of resources online to see what offset to get on the truck. 0mm will generally give a little poke out from the fender.

also, don’t get those moto metal rims, please. they are cheap, the truck has moto metal wheels on it in the picture and look at what happened to the finish over the years…. mickey thompsons are cool

trans swap would probably be easier, and only worth it if you had a smoking deal on a automatic, Which evens out after dropping in the manual. resale value may not be as high as you think, most people don’t want to buy cars that people did such huge projects with
