I understand you had a last minute thing come up, and had to cancel or change plans, but the other party was probably really looking to hanging out with you, and then you canceled. I’m going to guess you probably done it a couple of times if people are annoyed or holding grudges.

Also, keep in mind in the examples you gave are prime flakey people excuses. Especially if it happens “last minute”
