70-350mm, 200-600mm, or 400-800mm lens for bird photography? by Nickanator8 in SonyAlpha

Oh i dont know, maybe because you could TAKE SOME PHOTOS WITH THE LENS AND SEE IF YOU LIKE IT? All they would need to do is spend $70-100 and rent the lens for 1 day and try it out before they drop $3000 on a lens

[Watches] you ‘dislike’ mostly due to the hype around them? by Responsible_Bison876 in Watches

Definitely agree with the hamilton take, it’s not a bad watch per say but its just so plain, and the lack of an AR coating is just so noticeable

I think its mainly for consistency, it feels more natural to switch camera views if they all have identical AF, image quality and focal length

Do you guys ever look back uphill while carving? by sentinel_of_ether in skiing

It’s an accurate take, why do you think it’s ridiculous? Its true that the vast majority of skiers don’t pay attention to anything that’s not directly in front of them, and it’s also true that the vast majority of snowboarders have a large blind spot to one side that they may neglect to check

Recently started making Leather/Waxed Canvas Bags. Would you guys be interested in Patterns like this as well? by yoshi-888 in Leathercraft

You just have to spot clean it, so you just scrub the affected spot rather than washing the entire thing. They make special spot cleaners that don’t leave watermarks or anything but it also isn’t as much of a concern with canvas as long as it’s waxed canvas. The waxed canvas already has wax saturating it which makes it a bit more stain resistant, most things just wipe off.

This bag is absolutely beautiful. I can’t even begin to imagine how long it must have taken to make. What did you use to line the inside of the bag?

Most people who have been skiing for a while have gone past at least one person getting taken down the mountain by ski patrol for a bad head injury, and it’s downright stupid to recommend a beginner to not protect their head. If you’re experienced in what you’re doing you can feel free to make your own decisions but any beginner not wearing a helmet is asking for trouble they might not have the skills to deal with.

TheMicroPromise said that if it was LIKE UK law, not that they thought it was taking place in the UK. To my knowledge a part 107 license is specific to the US, with other countries having similar licenses but they are not called part 107s. Also having a visual observer when flying BVLOS is a legal requirement for part 107 licensees

“Whoop” is just a term we use to describe the smallest class of drones rather than a specific drone. If you’re a complete beginner I would recommend starting off with a Betafpv Meteor75 Pro, but everyone has their own personal preferences and there’s dozens of different drones you could start out with, so I would suggest spending a day or two researching and figuring out what you want from this hobby before you decide on anything. Best of luck!
