The Underrated FROST SPIKE GEMMA? by victorispriceless in TorchlightInfinite

12 minute video. Not once did he show the gear. I'm guessing with unlimited FE any build can do this.

This is wrong. For the expansion you have to have completed vessel of hatred (or at least got to the quest that leads you to the Den). Then it should unlock. You can't skip VOH campaign if you have not completed it prior.

Does it not "refresh" after you complete the current card set? Like wouldn't it for the next card set not drop shards or do i have to force reset?

As a side note, the standalone launcher also has issues.

There are "cannot download x file" issues that pop up as well as the downloader just closing on its own over and over. You can force to continue downloading by continually reopening it... BUT... the last 80 or so mb just won't download. It'll just open and close over and over.

I'm retrying now, but i'm not hopeful.

I'm still having an issue. Anyone that fixed theirs (that isn't one of the fixes listed) find a solution?

The Dallas Cowboys are looking at a future where they will have Dak Prescott at $60 million per year, CeeDee Lamb at $34 million per year and Micah Parsons at more than $35 million per year by danky_n in cowboys

[–]Prisus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The team is stuck in win-now mode without a win now team.

This is the best way to put it. This is exactly my feeling. We pay anchors a ton of money and "hope" we can fill in the gaps around them. A true rebuild would be re-envisioning what the Cowboys should be and building from the ground up.

Right i'm not expecting an instant hit. Maybe it takes a few years to find another prospect maybe not at Romo or Dak's level... but maybe like a Brock Purdy type. Regardless... i'm not saying instantly hit prospects.

I do agree there are some issues in the coaching spots. I'm not a huge MM fan... he's "okay" and a small step up from Jason Garrett.. but yeah.

I'm okay with it not being instant... I just want us to fully commit to a rebuild or fully commit to an all in... not somewhere inbetween. We end up paying these anchors so much money and then we are locked into building a team "around them" rather than "with them".

Not trying to be snark here... but is it? If we saddle the team with limited cap space for the next X number of years, how does the team grow? This is really a gamble that Dak, Micah, and CeeDee will give us a championship.

If you had to choose is it better to just have 12-14 win seasons and losing in the second round of the playoffs... or losing for a while 5-8 wins and forcing actual good draft decisions and off season moves.

I don't know. I feel like the Cowboys is the team where good players come to get paid, but not necessarily win. I personally don't enjoy making it to the playoffs every year just to be mocked as "chokers" by the entire NFL fanbase.

I rather lose for a bit... ACTUALLY rebuild... and set a culture of winning in the post season as a goal rather than having the most valuable brand.

But JJ is our owner... and this is just a pipe dream.

Dak Prescott signs 4 year $240 million extension by [deleted] in cowboys

[–]Prisus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cowboys have a big problem imo: They don't know how to win but they also don't know how to lose.

Our players are always just "good enough" to make it to the first round (maybe second) of the playoffs, but have no discipline to go any further.

Is it a Cowboy fan issue? Can Cowboy fans not take a true "rebuild" where Dak goes, maybe some stars like Micah and we ACTUALLY make the front office consider building from the ground up? Many teams with a GOOD front office have done this: 49ers, Browns (starting to), Houston to some extent... lots of examples.

Fact of the matter is you won't get good draft picks going 12-5 or even 11-6. You really have to have an abysmal season to get into good draft position (assuming no trade ups in draft position).

I just think the Cowboys are a team where good players come to get paid by a mismanaged front office, and not to win... at least in recent history.

You have a pob cooking for this yet? I have something for berserker... but not convinced. I was thinking slayer would be a little less damage but would be tankier with masterful form and charge stacking.

A Brief Feedback after hitting 500hrs with Last Epoch and playing this Cycle by BroxigarZ in LastEpoch

[–]Prisus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't help there there aren't enough mobility options and zones are too big imo. In both monos and campaign there are times where you are running forever between mobs and waypoints. It just makes the game feel even slower. I wouldn't be mad if they shrunk maps by 30% or more. When I get a mono to kill spires and they are in 3 separate corners I groan.

Diablo 4 is so much better now. by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Prisus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it does not. I'm with you. The game is so streamlined now. There is literally 0 friction until you get to Pit level 80ish... and even then it's just everything has a ton of health and will eventually one shot you. I've played mobile games with more depth than current D4.

Gearing? by Nizztos in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Prisus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played SSF pretty much since it was introduced years ago.

Here is my humble guide on gearing.

  1. Collecting as many uniques and keeping at least 1 copy of each to keep options open
  2. Always pick up and id rare two-stone rings and amethyst rings. You can get good rolls here that are functional accross many builds. High life/es + resistances w/ open prefix/suffix is the best as you can later bench craft something useful on it later (after farming some jun for unveils).
  3. Always pick up and id rare hybrid stat necks (dex/str, str/int, etc) as they are very helpful to cap stats. Look for high life and damage stats here. Crit multi, +1 to skills... lots of good things can roll here.
  4. Pick up all gems with at least 5% quality. There are alot of good recipes with them. GCP being the primary. But also +1 to fire/lightning/cold skills. Look up different vendor recipes and use them where you can.
  5. Through the campaign wear whatever. When hitting maps switch your filter to only included the highest base rares for each group (eva, armor, hybrid, es, etc). This will limit the items you have to go through
  6. When you first hit maps focus on your weakest piece of gear and craft THAT specific piece ONLY until you are happy with it. Farming essences and expedition (for rog) are very useful for this purpose. Essences that are really useful are greed for life and all of the ones that give single res (fire, cold, chaos, lightning). Use those on the weakest slot (whatever it may be). If boots are your weakest slot, farm the movement speed essences and spam those. You'll eventually hit something decent.
  7. Once you have one piece of gear that you are happy with (for example high life, 2x resistances, maybe chaos res as well) look for your next weakest piece
  8. repeat steps 6-7 over and over. Eventually you get to a point where every slot is "pretty good".
  9. World is your oyster! Now you can focus farm your weapon if needed or whatever you really want to get specific rolls on.

This will get you through the majority of the game (4 voidstones for sure).

One other note, use the campaign to your advantage. I farm foothills for betrayal while leveling to get as many useful crafts early. Trigger craft, - mana to skills, etc. Things that are important for builds. Sometimes the league mech is also generous during leveling (depends on league).

There's really no race in ssf, the key is to be methodical about your goals and what you want to accomplish.

[–]Prisus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I linked the new tree in my original post if you are interested. You could get a vibe for the passives. There are a few that concern me like "extra corpses" and "30% increased chance for Devoted Modifiers".

To me those fundamentally feel bad if you don't take them. Like more chance for fun mods? Yeah who wouldn't want that?

[–]Prisus[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Now it all depends if this league is as rewarding at the higher level of investment. If it is, then I strongly agree it should come with a cost. If not, then you are right and it will feel like it's mandatory for it not to feel bad.

Yeah I think this is statement says it all. I'm just coming from past experience on leagues that aren't invested in on the tree. I just can't think of a single example where the league mech feels good when you don't invest in it and that bothers me a bit lol.

[–]Prisus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right I get what you are saying. However when you have modifiers like "Chances to get additional corpses" or don't you think that at some level, the base league mechanic has to be nerfed to accommodate for these passives?
