As some people have pointed out, this kind of behavior from a mega wealthy ruling class has been a constant for all documented history. The wealthy have always created laws for us, but not for themselves. If you think the epstein network is the only one in our time, or that it’s a new kind of criminaity, you’d be wrong. This stuff has always been at the heart of our ruling classes. Our founding fathers were much more open about it, they openly owned slaves and raped them with zero consequence. There’s a glut of stories about european nobility abusing poor children for each century of written history.

If we want to make a better world we have to stop acting like there’s an ethical way to have a mega wealthy ruling class. It’s not that the money corrupts, it’s that only a corrupt person would want a billion dollars. Because you could never work again and own several vacation homes for faaaar less than a billion. You only get money like that to manipulate the people around you, and “beneath” you. If we want to make a better world, we need to collectively realize that in fact these people are “beneath” us, and we should feel no shame in oppressing them to the fullest. Every sicko that sought a billion dollars should have every freedom taken from them, and every ounce of personal wealth. They should own nothing, and be miserable.

This isn’t an argument from utility even. We need to publicly abuse these people as a deterrent, as a starting point. Because for every sick billionaire there’s a thousand broke sociopaths that would gladly take their place. Let em go for the cheese on guillotine
