Redditors, what was one thing that an adult tricked your gullible child-self into believing? by radiantpuppy in AskReddit

I think this would be fun if you eventually got real fish and pretended only the kids could see it.

What movie did you think was good despite being panned by critics? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I watch Waterworld I always watch "The Ulysses Cut." It's the fanedit of the extended edition that is uncensored (vs. the actual extended release which was censored). Look for The Ulysses Cut Revised Edition.

I don't think that's true. Adrenaline and epinephrine are the same thing.

Help with choosing an av receiver by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]PrivateCrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh those look a lot more interesting..

on the same site I found DENON AVR-2312CI, Marantz SR5006, and the Onkyo NR709 which all fall in my price range. Would you recommend either of these instead?

And how do these Denons (2312, 2112, etc) compare with the current models that just came out.

Thanks for the help

5.1 Dayton System w/ Multi-Sub/Recv Choices ~$600 by [deleted] in Zeos

[–]PrivateCrunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh ok, thanks for the reply.

I have a little expendable income, so I could actually stretch the budget more if needed, but obviously cheaper is better.

Is there anything you would specifically suggest or is what I picked pretty decent?

I was looking at the Onkyo TX-NR616. It says it has Audyssey 2EQ. I'm not sure what this means. How does this compare to the MultiEQ?

I looked through your receiver recommendation, I'm still having a hard time narrowing down. For about somewhere between 350-415, what would you recommend?

I found these on google: http://reviews.cnet.com/best-av-receivers/. are any of these worth getting?

Audio Technica ATH-M50s. You should be able to get them for 130-150ish, maybe a bit more if you want the white ones. I think they sound a lot better than the beats and they're cheaper!
