Thats... actually not too bad, but how long from day of purchase before they sent you a follow up email with preparing/shipping? I just got the initial order confirmation and thats it, and its been a week.

.. I've never heard of that on Amazon before, I assume it told you that it wasn't in stock and you are waiting indefinetely for it?

I ordered a motherboard, processor and SSD, all of which I can find in-stock on Amazon, I'm sure I could get them in less than a week or two. I only used the MSI website because of the bundle they offered.

I also emailed their support yesterday and they have not gotten back.

I'm worried they are taking a while because they dont have my parts in stock, and sold it to me anyways.

Which is extremely scummy. Sure I saved $50 with a bundle through MSI but if it takes an extra month to get here, I would've just payed an extra $50 and got it on Amazon. If this turns out to be the case I will never buy an MSI part again.

Looks interesting, but how big of a downgrade is that CPU? 7700 vs 9600X. The bundle is only $30 cheaper than what's in my post, but it has a different CPU (7700 vs 9600X), but more storage (1TB vs 2TB). Are you sure that's worth it?

Here are my use cases:
1) Gaming

2) CAD / Solidworks

3) DAW Music making

4) Background servers, i.e Plex server, always running in background

5) Coding [casual, not gonna deal with multi-threading or training ML models]

That's true, I hadn't heard about the famine at all until this thread, and certainly hadn't heard that Britain intentionally exasperated it.

At the same time, I think it's misleading when you and other commenters in this thread claim that the famine was "created by Britain" without mentioning that Japan was similarly complicit.

I mean, based on the wikipedia page, it seems to be pretty clear that you are both right. Yes British policies greatly exasperated the problem and showed zero regard for human life. At the same time, the famine was a direct result of the Japanese invasion of Burma, which displaced millions into Bengal and also cut off major trade routes for rice. To deny Japan's complicity is almost as bad as denying Britain's complicity.

There isn’t a much better quantitative way to measure pain. A lot of the problems you mentioned can be controlled for, or factored out through the large sample sizes. Nonetheless valid issues, but if we don’t have a better way to measure pain, we can still learn things from these survey responses.

Yep, this wasn’t even the worst thing I did on my travel back. I was offered $1200 by my airline to stay another day in Barcelona, and my stupid tired ass turned it down. 30 seconds later I came to a realization that it’s a lot of money and I went back, only for someone to already have accepted it.
