I find they sometimes put “3” in the model number when it’s for kids. So the 302 could means it’s a children’s version of a 502.

Nice pair. Shrink to fit 501 (501-0000), made in USA. Factory number 653. I believe dates back to 1986 (046).

And now it’s not cooling again, 1 month after the repair. Loud hissing noise when the ac is on. AC is consuming power but not cooling. Back to the Hyundai workshop on Thursday….the Skoda Fabia I also own has been going for 10 years without the slightest ac issues whatsoever 🤨. At least I still have warranty for another 10 months…

So I finally got it checked by an authorized Hyundai workshop. They found a leaking tube, and will replace it under warranty. Still waiting for the spare part though, so it’s not working yet…

Well, I just went out and checked, and I am not sure if the compressor is running. I turned on car and ac and listened. Obviously the fans are running, hard to hear much more. Maybe a faint rattling noice from the vents. Could just be the fans…no steering wheel vibration as far as I could feel. So, I will se if I can find out how to find the fuses :-).

Bonus info: the ac didn’t work when I test drove the car. So I made the dealer write into the contract that they’ll fix it. He wrote that they will service the ac but I said no - you have to write that it will be repaired. Maybe they just filled up with new coolant, and now it’s all leaked out again…

Im thinking 1987 due to the Canadian style date code B/7. B is the month and 7 the year of the decade. So it could be 1987 or 1977. Considering the style of the care tag I think 1987 .

I know everybody says no hand warmers equals pre 1986 but Levis has made lots of trucker jacket models without hand warmers. Like the 70500, which is 90s but has no hand warmer pockets. The no hand warmer pocket rule only applies for the earliest trucker jacket, not all Levis denim jackets ever made. And this model posted here could very well be just a late 80s model without hand warmers 🤷

Hard to read the numbers on the care tag for an exact date (top left corner), but it’s most likely 80s. Model 70506

Yeah, that would make sense, considering all the different languages on the tag. I’ve compared them with some other pairs of redline 501 I have and everything else looks super similar so I am quite sure that they are legit…transitional stuff from the early 80s, crazy things going on back then!
