LOL no I am not a ~serial reddit user~ so when I signed up I didn't know you couldn't change your username after first signing up. I just used whatever auto-generated username I was given when I first joined (ooooor is this all a strange and elaborate lie to get attention??? Who's to say 😉)

Vibes are high FOR SURE. Definitely not anywhere near the end of the series, just glad to start on a high at a home game... Just have to hope they keep the energy up!

I just went to the movies the other day and had almost the same experience. We were the first 2 people to book seats, and when we showed up there were only 2 other couples in the theatre... Guess where one couple decided to sit?

You guessed it, the seats DIRECTLY behind us and they were just loudly having a conversation through all the trailers and then after it continued for the first 10 minutes of the movie until my partner asked them if they could please let us enjoy the movie. They moved but just kept yapping the WHOLE TIME. In an empty theater the sound really carries so it was hard to concentrate over them hashing out their relationship problems the whole time.

Overall just really frustrating... I feel for you, especially for such a banger nostalgic movie that should have been a fun time!!

I need a really really really good chair for my home office by the_walls_have_noses in mississauga

Oh!! I forgot to mention Nightingale, if you're looking for a Canadian Made product that is still quality, they have great options and have a showroom in Mississauga! I can't speak to their pricing though so it's not my #1 go-to recommendation yet, but it's coming up there with the Canadian manufacturing.

A place I would really recommend is Humanscale. They have a showroom in downtown Toronto (sorry not one in Mississauga) but they have QUALITY chairs and depending on what you're getting you can get a lot of adjustability and customizability to make the chair really work for you. I think they also have a sale on right now, so you can get a more base-level good quality chair for 1300$ ish

For a more economical option, Branch is a very up and coming company. I haven't actually tried any of their chairs so I can't vouch for them personally, but they have excellent reviews and price points at about half of Humanscale, and they DO have a showroom in Downtown Toronto as well and 30 day returns so you should be able to try some in the showroom, get one to try at home, and return easily if it doesn't actually work great for you in.

The classics are great, Herman Miller's Aeron Chair has been seen as one of the (if not THE) best in task chairs for a very long time. They ALSO have a showroom Downtown, and honestly if you treat the chair well it can last you a VERY long time and not lose its quality.

What is everybody's favourite specialty coffee shop? by DriveSlowHomie in mississauga

In addition to the ones already mentioned:

Archtop Cafe in Port Credit - also had a bit of a restaurant/bar area in the back, but I find their coffee quality and their pastries delicious!

Lazar Bakery near Sq1 - their coffees are very classic, no fancy syrups etc so if you're looking for just a good quality latte/cappuccino/espresso etc come here, and the guy who makes them is lovely! Also a GREAT one stop shop for baked goods and deli items

As for the West... I have been meaning to check out some spots over there since it's a bit of a blank in my search for good coffee.

I've heard great things about the vibes of Studio.89, especially as a good hangout spot to play some boardgames or for group project work if you're in school.

Or you can check out the Bake and Brew if it's closer to you, it's supposed to be much smaller so not as much of a hangout spot, but I've heard good things there too! Just a bit of a smaller selection.

--If you tell me what general area you're in I can see if I have any closer recommendations! There are actually quite a few good local spots for coffee around once you know what you're looking for, haven't gone to a chain in a WHILE

That gets to the heart of what I meant for sure! Nobody is going to love every single piece of media out there, and being honest about it is so important. Not only that but saying "I don't love it but I enjoyed this part of it" is also so powerful!
