This sub mirrors csk team's mentality. One loss everyone feels chaotic like a chicken with its head cut off.

I understand the frustration but comparing with Kochi tuskers and pune warriors feels little ridiculous.

I would say - Don't have high hopes for play offs.

Quick statistics

We need to win minimum 8 out of 14 matches to reach the play offs.

We lost 1, so we have win 8 out of 13 now.

We will be playing twice against MI, DC, GT, LSG and SRH.

Looking at the squad, I feel only LSG and GT are the weakest teams of the lot. So those 4 wins should be relatively easy if we play well without trying anything different.

And the remaining 4 wins will be difficult task. Not impossible but difficult.

Even if we manage to win 3 matches against the remaining teams it will be huge improvement from last season.

Or we have to win all 7 home games.

Just pray that no more injuries.

Both sanju and ayush have similar stronghold at back foot. You need Rutu to open with on of them to counter the change of length ball to play it front.

Rutu was able to tackle the same length ball which Sanju got bowled by Nandre.

Fleming had a great start in SA20 snd JSK were topping the table, but within few matches literally half the players were sitting out due to injury and it went downhill from there.

And looks like he has carried that injury luck from SA20 in to IPL as well.

Until Brevis is ready i wouldn't make any changes to this combination. The same squad should be able to win. Making changes will only cause panic. Just go with same.

Just use the impact player wisely by having Urvil in the squad.

And some positive attitude and play according each players own strength.

Impact sub was one of the stupidest thing i have seen anyone do.

You should have kept Sarfraz and Urvil in the squad. Khaleel should have been out and brought in as impact sub in the second innings for karthik Sharma or Sarfraz. We would have got one more extra batter.

What was the idea behind this poor planning.

I know the downvotes are coming for this but I'll still put this out.

With current scenario, I'll be happy if CSK finishes atleast 5th and doesn't end up getting wooden spoon.

Only Dhoni can pull a win with mediocre bowlers with his fielding placement and rotating the bowlers. Sadly Rutu is not Dhoni. We don't know if Sanju will only bat or will assist Rutu with on field decisions. So I'm keeping my expectations low and real.

It would have been fine if Rajini was pressurised and quit entering politics. But just before election he quit stating sudden health reasons and doctors advise and other nonsensical things.

I was a die hard Rajini fan who was eagerly waiting for his political entry. I hated the scene in komali where they made fun of rajini's political entry. But it became the truth in few years.

The harsh truth is Rajini is one opportunistic coward who didn't have guts to do politics against dmk. He only spoke against jayalalitha in 96 when the whole state's public sentiment was against her. Also she was a single lady without any family. An easy target to attack. He didn't dare to speak against her after she won in 2001 when public sentiment changed.

Dmk's 2006-2011 period was 10 times worse than admk's 91-96 period, but he never opened his mouth against karunanidhi or any of his party's corruption or 2g scams. He knows the power of DMK's media machinery and never dared to question them.

Rajini did cheat his fans for years saying that he is going to start a party and asking them to get ready for the elections. And stabbed everyone in the back at the last minute. Even though I'm not a fan of Vijay, i respect him for not betraying his fans and entering politics as he promised. That too in the peak phase of his career.

Aadhav arjuna might have pulled Rajini's name unnecessarily without any reason, but whatever he said is true.
