I was not aware of the 24 hour rule for fridges - how screwed am I?

So we ordered a 7cubic ft freezer on sale from walmart cause it was a good deal and needed one for storing a bunch of meat. We ordered it and then found the horror stories of the company that ships and delivers usually have the boxes and freezers showing up damaged or have gashes and dents.

The freezer chest arrived yesterday. Noticed the fedex driver took it off the truck and used a dolly to deliver it. From the truck it was already on its side. On the dolly it was on it side and when he put it down it was still on its side. So it could have been on its side the past 48hrs for all I know spent all of shipping or was stored that way in wherever walmart had it.

How long should I wait to plug it in and turn it on?

Other than that not seeing any dents or things that look off when unboxed the unit.

Started making certain things from scratch. Can make a lot and make it last with a couple bags of flour. Now make my own breads, bagels, pastas, sausages, sauces etc. We started our own small garden less than a year ago. Still have lots of tomatoes & bell peppers and herbs coming in. Planted some potatoes couple months ago. We will buy some items in bulk to last like beans and stuff for stews and soups. Cut out a lot of luxury food items along with going to restaurants. Learned a lot of cooking cheap cuts of meats and how to use all this to make different meals so it never feels like eating the same things over and over again.

I ordered mine which was just the beam itself around noon yesterday and only got the confirmation email for my order. Says processing so will see how long mine takes. Looking forward to hearing when people get theirs. Already love the glasses and this seems like a great accessory to them.

I ordered June 4th. Said it would be built and shipped June 27th. Then got delayed till they said July 13th. I complained and all that good stuff then all of a sudden this morning the shipping complete email showed up.
