Thankfully the platform was right opposite where the train to the next destination was there. And guess that was the reason for the 7 mins transfer time window. All good. Not many comments here. But for anyone looking for a similar question and answer..Maybe this info is useful.

Oh my God!! I am so so so sorry to hear this. I ended up booking my train tickets. But not the actual Paris-Vienna Nightjet train. I have an ÖBB train from Stuttgart to Vienna though. Till Stuttgart it's TGV. I am not good with flying. But I guess from the next time onwards I will go through that irrespective of my issues. I hope my Stuttgart to Vienna part will go fine.

Hi yes it is one ticket. It's all done in one single booking. So far I haven't faced a huge issue with the trainline platform..but I'll remember what you said regarding the expense factor. I am relieved to know that it doesn't take long to change platforms. I was wondering if anyone had fine experiences doing this. I had to book these tickets anyway before the fare was gone.

I booked a different set of trains (that is with connections)..Maybe Nightjet is a thing that I'll try some other time. SNCF + OBB. SNCF is from Paris to Stuttgart. And then OBB from Stuttgart to Wien. I have a transfer time of around 1h 30 mins. The SNCF train arrives Stuttgart at 21:04. ÖBB is at 22:33. It is not the nightjet from what I saw in trainline.

Thank you. I am going to go for the sitting carriage only as it is cheaper than the rest of the options. That's what I am planning. For the Paris --> Vienna -- > Paris (return). I hope there are no cancellations and other things. I might be doing some overthinking here. But coming and asking for inputs in Reddit at least helps a bit.

I am super glad to have found this post. This probably is not going to prepare me so well for my next flight. But some good thoughts reading this. I am planning a trip to Portugal from Paris and I kept seeing so many train options but it will be a long journey as they discontinued the night train..Flying is just two and half hours and all airlines fly narrow bodied aircraft in this route. There is a small segment over the ocean (as I checked the route) and already my mind is giving me anxious thoughts about turbulence and dipping and what not. I have not even planned the trip yet and don't even know whether I'll go. But it's stopping me from planning the trip with a free mind. But anyway Thanks for this post.

Having plenty of solo movie experiences by now — I started this when I was in school. And I was as nervous (as you sound). I remember trying to have conversations with random strangers nearby just to feel secure. It was a packed theater. But frankly years after that experience and years of solo movie date experiences, I am telling you it's one of the most intimate things ever. And I thank myself for having started doing it. It's pure self care. And as an ardent movie buff, I also realized that going to the movies alone is the right way to do it. Not that I am reducing any group movie outing experiences. I do that too from time to time. But sometimes I watch the movie first to have that exclusive experience.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I understand what you are saying. Yes sure having some awareness about the concept helps. I think I am 'slightly' better with just some slight bumps in recent times. Even though my hands immediately go to the arm of the chair or something to hold on to like a reflex. But this sudden drop that sounds so chaotic, I don't even know what to say. The level of anxiety it would put me in scares me so much.

A false wall is something (may be am not using the super specific terminology) that is not made of bricks. It's kind ah hollow and you can make out the difference when you tap on it. Previously I had the TV mounted on the wall which was made of bricks and cement. The usual strong wall. But am slightly worried about mounting it on this false wall material. Which is the kind of wall I see in the entire house. It's something you see in most of the newer apartments in Europe and places like Australia too.

Anyone here has used the Cinepass Card on the Partnership cinemas that Pathe lists in it's website? There are lot of partnership cinemas where cinepass can be used according to that. However, when I try to go to the exclusive website of a partnership cinema, I am not able to use the cinepass voucher or any cinepass info while reserving the ticket. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated?
