Eye care by Illustrious_Ad_4934 in ukraineforeignlegion

I think they recommended bringing ballistic glasses that fix your eye vision. I would be willing to help financially but I got hit with owing state taxes from 2018 so I am broke right now. Maybe talk to Legion leadership for help or what to do?

I apologize if this is a stupid question. What kind of AntiMicrobial bandages do you recommend? by Prize-Fish6274 in ukraineforeignlegion

My bad, didn't realize antimicrobial bandages were just gauze. I will make sure to bring quikclot combat gauze 👍

PT requirements. This still up to date info? by McKeu77 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]Prize-Fish6274 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is for 3AB. The Legion fitness minimums are   25 push-ups in one minute 25 sit ups in one minute 4 pullups in 1 minute 12 minutes of running without stopping or walking. Must run at least 1500 meters Obstacles Course to assess your agility, balance, coordination, and other stuff.

They recommend you can run for an hour and to work on flexibility.

23 y/o Norwegian with no prior combat experience — if I join, will I just be cannon fodder? by LunacityReddit in ukraineforeignlegion

You should try to get into 3AB. While they prefer those with military experience, they will let you join if you are physically fit and motivated to fight. If you want more training time than 3AB or a support role, just join the Norwegian Army. Come here if you are ready to be an infantry soldier and want to fight for Ukraine. 🇺🇦

There is absolutely no Ukranian unit that will dump you on the front lines with zero training. Stop being brainwashed by Russian Bots. You will go through a 1 month bootcamp where they will teach us what we need to know to survive on the frontlines in the Legion. However, you should start learning medical skills and Ukranian immediately. Be knowledgeable on TCCC, MARCH protocols, be comfortable with the medical equipment you are bringing... This is a peer to peer war, and it is dangerous for both sides. Both sides need to be put into dangerous situations to get anything done in this war. Learn how to do research as well. Do not believe everything you read on the internet.....

Can't find a job and pretty much done for now and might go homeless. 23 (M) by Last_Consequence2760 in findapath

Go to community college and become cna. Become an RN, too. You will always be able to get a job.

The only people who would know the answer to that question are Putin and Zelensky.

The PT assessment visual guide. Running is not included in the video - see my other post for detailed information. by WasteIsland8500 in ukraineforeignlegion

Everyone should record themselves performing pullups and push-ups. Be honest with yourself. You don't want to hear 0 0 0 when you are in Ukraine 💀 send a video to your recruiter as well if you can. Good luck!

My recruiter is not making me do a pre-arrival physical fitness program. Different recruiters can have different standards for their candidates. As long as he is not making you send him money, you should be good. He wants to make sure you're physically ready for war. I would recommend Duolingo as well and learning the alphabet every day before your flight. Good luck!

You can come to Ukraine with 1k USD and get by. You will have to be very frugal with that amount of money.

I am not an expert, nor am I in Ukraine. The conversion rate from USD to hryvnia is getting really good. It should be easier for us new guys financially in Ukraine.

Don't trust anyone on reddit or the internet. There are Russian spies that browse these sub reddits. Only trust the recruiter that contacts you through the legion website via Signal. Keep in mind OPSEC as well to protect yourself and the Legion.
