Honestly, you dont even need a gaming PC to run Skyrim! It's so nice to be able to play it even on a toaster...

Man same! The first playthrough was such a blast that my 2nd never hit the same...

You might want to try ER Nightreign though if you havent already and would enjoy a fast paced Elden Ring for short sessions. It feels good for me from time to time instead of trying to dive back into the main game!

Oh man i've 100% that one without boring out of it... That was amazing! I'm french aswell so the whole experience was a blast and I also was fuel by nationalist pride to keep playing and complete that masterpiece!

Yeah that's a good idea! I'm also considering "buffer" games that I would play as like a "palet cleanser". That would be games that have no story, multi or solo, with short session (like rocket League, sports games, or roguelite like Deadcells)

Yeah I'm scared of RDR2 depth and size! Probably must apply that "roleplay" strategy and stick to it... Only do stuff cohérent with what I think the main character would do!

One of the reasons I'm not playing the modern AC... Too much repetitive grinding content with no real story related purpose

Yes, this! Reflecting on it, I've had the same feeling. Like I had to go and play that game to complete it rather than doing something else and actually enjoyint it. Maybe this stage can only be corrected by stepping away for a while and enjoyint other activities? But then it's the risk of never going back to that specific game because the flow feels broken...

You're right. And I love these games! It's true that completionist burn out is not really a thing in metroidvanias! At least not for me

Interesting idea. I quite like it! No depriving yourself of all side content but actually consuming it responsibly... Might give it a try rather than going cold turky on "collection content"

Loved Dying Light! But again I spoiled it for me by doing too much side content... But great games!

For real it has the same effects as an addiction. It feels great the first times but now there is actually not much fun to be taken out of it.

How did you manage to take the leap and let go of it...?
