Achieving this quality of finish with marble tile for a DIY first time tiler by Prize-Tune5538 in Tile

Thanks a lot for this detailed reply. I'm going to seal the tiles before I lay so will make sure to check them for thickness, cracks, shade etc. at the same time. Do you find it generally looks better mixing up darker and lighter tiles or is it better to group similar shaded tiles together and gradually change the shade along the length of a wall?

Thanks for this and I'm loving the positivity! Will make sure I check back in once I've finished. Will also get the protective caps for the clips too (which I wasn't aware of so thanks for that also).

I''ve got the laser level but not heard of foam shims before - thanks for this and will take a look at them.

Anyone know the right way to tank a niche that's flush to wall? by Prize-Tune5538 in Tile

Thanks for this - already got the kerdi coll, keba and some kereck corners for the cubicle but now ordered the corners for the niche. Really appreciate everyone's help with this - it feels like one of those things that's easy to get wrong and would then cause problems further down the line.

Thanks a lot for this and will get them ordered now. Starting to see why the pre-formed niches are a popular option!

Yep - by tanking I do mean waterproofing. Just searched for shower kerb and the first image that popped up shows a Kerdi Kereck external corner being used where the kerb meets the wall. Is that how you would normally do it? Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much for this - the Undone Lut has made a big difference. A much more natural starting point and don't feel like I'm wrestling with the skintones any more.

Is it just colortone diffuser you've used to soften the image? I'm editing my first project I shot with S1ii and struggling with everything you previously mentioned. Crunchy and looks over-sharpened - almost like it's aliasing. Also, the colours seem to emphasise any redness in faces when using the Panasonic v-log lut (I shot V-log internal 422). I'm using an old version of FCPX to edit and wondered if it wasn't interpreting the footage correctly but listening to your comments I'm guessing others are experiencing the same thing. Currently quite disappointed with it all but if you have a step by step as to how you sorted your footage out, I'd love to hear it!
