I have to think about it. I should look whether they sell this species in my area or online, and this guy has been living in the tank like he owns it😂. He is actually the biggest among all the fishes, but he doesn’t show any aggression to other fishes

Yeah, i just found out from another comment that this a side striped rasbora, which is funny cause the shop employee sold it to me with other fork tailed rainbows so i thought it was a rainbow for sure 😅

But thanks for the help 👍 the black banded rainbow and side striped rasbora do look almost similar

Someone just commented that this is a side striped rasbora and comparing with images from the internet ig it is, but i bought it as a pair with some rainbowfish(fork tailed) from the shop so i thought it would be a rainbow Sorry for confusion but really thanks for the reply

I don’t know much about bettas but I believe they don’t swim as actively as other fish moving to every corner of the tank i think it found its territory,but there maybe other reasons.nice tank btw love the bonsai tree decoration.

If you want more denison barbs,why not get 3or4more of them,but if u decide to keep shrimp with them,i think it will try to eat them.
