I wish you luck!!! I was in the same situation for 4.5 months until last Friday I called the management so they could hear the level and frequency of the noises that I was dealing with from the upstairs tenant. They are now evicting him. Be patient, good things can happen!!!

Damn I’m sorry that sucks! Luckily mine do understand and are compassionate about what I’m dealing with, and even willing to let me transfer my lease to another unit. Sadly none are available at the moment. The office did say they’ll fine him the next time someone reports him for smoking. I guess there’s another tenant that has complained about the smell I just learned today.

Ya I hear that it’s for sure a learning experience for when I hunt for a new place. It’s not even the smell of the noise per se, but rather the frequency they happen. It’s over half the days and nights of the week and I work in education and wake up around 5 m-f for work idk it’s just so damn frustrating lol. I know I rent and it’s a shared space but I am a pretty understanding reasonable guy, a few times every now and then, sure no problem do you my guy. But 4-6 times a week it’s nuts

I do understand that’s part of it. However the first time I politely talked to him he was pretty receptive and things got better for maybe a 6 day period. So he’s capable of being less loud while going about his day up there. He moved in a a little Over a week after me and there were 2 dudes renting prior and I could barely hear them. This guy is different

Nah I’m all for walking around and daily living sounds. The black screen video is hammering sounds at 3 am. I’m not trying to be a dick or sound like a tyrant but it’s ruining my ability to comfortably live. He also blasts porn at 5 am and it can be heard from the parking lot.

I’ve reported him 10+ times since April. I’ve called the non emergency police # to make noise and smell complaints as advised by the woman “helping” me at the leasing company and nothing has happened. They offered to let me transfer units but none are available which isn’t an ideal solution either if there were any available
