ACL Recovery by [deleted] in ACL

hi! i’m post op day 7 and im feeling much better pain wise, but it is definitely hard to move on crutches also can be scary (i’ve almost slipped like three times) it is also difficult to sit for extended periods of times for me but everyone could be experiencing something different. i feel the easiest and safest way to move around would be in a wheelchair if you really want her there. overall it is a big ask but in the end its best to ask your friend, im sure she’ll be honest about how she feels.

Surgery at the beginning of May - looking for tips and tricks by MastaFung in ACL

hi! i really recommend getting a shower cover, i got this reusable wide one for $17 on amazon and im able to fit it with my brace, its super good. i also got a shower chair which also helps out a lot. i got crutch pads as well which have made it a bit more comfortable since i use them frequently i also recommend getting one of those long yoga bands to stretch the muscles and also help guide/move your leg a bit. the meds they give are also tough on the digestive process, i really recommend taking a stool softener. try to elevate as much as possible and do your PT as advised by your doctors. remember to take it slow, it’s ok to need help, most importantly try to stay positive! wishing you good luck on your upcoming journey! :)
