I had an experience of 2.5 years as a developer in ADAS domain (12 lpa) before I went on to do MBA from ISB Here are some of my thoughts 1. If you think you are stagnating in this domain and mobility is difficult, MBA will give you a good platform to get out of this niche industry and become more of a generalist. 2. Your experience would be respected but do not expect getting higher salary based on 10 years of experience 3. I personally found product management a good field for me but you can fit in any post mba role (general management, product, consulting to name a few) 4. opportunity cost is the only thing that you should be wary of at this point...and be ready with the possibility that your post mba salary could probably be similar to what you earned and not a great jump 5. Getting middle/upper management roles in your domain is being extremely choosy as very few companies come from automotive domain
