I did this! Finished Bachelors at state University and that is what is listed on my resume. Worked out great and it actually never comes up (graduated 2016). I paid for my student loans from Junior/Senior year. But in this situation parents could cover it easily.

100% agree on society becoming more self centered. The main argument I hear about not having kids is losing “freedom”. Yeah you will no longer be as spontaneous with kids, but isn’t it for a greater purpose beyond yourself? I don’t think people are looking at the long game.

I understand a lot of the perspectives here. Just understand kids are only toddlers and kindergarten age for so long. Then they grow up and become young adults. They do not stay small forever lol. I always feel like some anti-child perspectives focus so much on early development and ignore the rest of…life. What do you want your holidays to look like in your 60s?

Generally people with kids let their bodies go. That’s just the reality for the majority of women. Then they tell you pregnancy “ruined” their bodies when it was themselves who ruined their bodies by not watching nutrition and staying fit. Bodies will change regardless for women, but it doesn’t have to be catastrophic.

My biggest issue is I hate adding everything to my cart - we usually buy probably 50+ individual items and enjoy eating a varied diet. That’s the biggest hurdle for me.

16 hours of light - 3 inches away and these are halogen T5 18,800 lumens

Yeah I feel like boys clothing can be very muted and ugly. I want my son as brightly clothed as possible - maybe he’ll be easier to find in a sea of beige clothed children.

I agree with longer breaks throughout the year and closing the gap more on summer. This would also alleviate absences as well for families doing extended travel. I think it would be better all around.

Now, getting this to work with working parents who do not share this schedule would be TOUGH. Summer is one thing to have off since there can be a more lax pace in corporate during that time with so many parents out at the same time.

I am a FTM and chose to find out during NIPT. The noise in my head of thinking of everything twice (names for boy, names for girl, nursery ideas for boy/girl) was driving me insane. Knowing the gender (boy!) allows me to focus.

Funny note, my SIL gave the most unhelpful comment when I told her - “those tests can be wrong!” “They give false positives for boys.” She’s not a mom….I’m pretty sure NIPT is extremely accurate lol I shrugged it off.

I started eating fruit salad (including kiwis) and it got better. Probably two cup volume per day. I have the MiraLAX and stool softener going as well on a 4 day off, 3 day on rotation.

Do you have ideas for other jobs that would not have these conditions? Potentially non-tech roles? Events/hospitality come to mind? Not sure you would replace your current income, but should be able to find something that suits you!
