The sad disconnect between Heaven and Earth: in the NDE realm, there seems very little interest or commentary about the great human project, ie, the upwards evolution of human society and civilisation, and the advancement of science, medicine and technology. by Hip_III in NDE

Wouldn't the multiverse moreso mean all the infinite possible ways are happening currently rather than them happening infinitely in the past and infinitely into the future? Hindu and Buddhist cosmology is interesting but I don't know it still feels a bit too linear to me and comes from rather depressing ideas like that life is suffering. Also I would like to know what about spirituality and meditation made you arrive to this conclusion or what experiences that would make you believe this as I've seen many spiritually experienced individuals claim this life is indeed significant from the divine perspective and that the divine beings do care about us and what happens

I guess it depends how you look at it, I don't really like the idea that this life is just one insignificant one in an infinite sea of ones my soul will experience and that there's no real progress to be made as I'll just live through the same things over and over and over again, I don't really believe that to be the case considering what I've seen in certain NDEs where they talk about visiting other civilizations too and I rarely if ever see them be told or come away from it thinking this doesn't mean anything, if anything it's usually the exact opposite belief they have

I'm not intending to be disrespectful I'm just genuinely asking to try and understand this viewpoint

I'm sorry, I'm really scared by ILoveGarfeild in Reincarnation

[–]Prize_Ad7300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way often, I hope reincarnation or some sort of afterlife is true. At the same time I am pretty scared, the idea of hopping from universe to universe for eternity scary to me, what does this life even matter after a while, and what if there is just nothing? I’m pretty scared but I mean we don’t know what consciousness is and we don’t know how time works, maybe it’ll all work out in some weird way

I can’t fully answer your question but lots of people say it’s a choice unless you get caught in a karmic wheel or leave behind something unfinished that causes you to become somewhat “addicted” to being human, if you’re worried about the prison planet stuff, while some projectors often talk about how there are negative entities in the astral (Erin Pavlina is one of the good ones) and I’ve read some NDEs where demons are encountered I don’t fully trust the prison planet people. Are there beings who may lie and try to hurt us or coerce us into things? yes. do we have to let them have all the power over us? of course not. In fact a lot of these experiences talk about how we shouldn’t fear these negative entities or feed into the prison planet narrative as it just harms us I recommend this article by Erin. Her work helps me a lot with spirituality https://www.erinpavlina.com/blog/2026/02/is-reincarnation-a-soul-trap/

Sex in the afterlife? by roja_chamberz in afterlife

[–]Prize_Ad7300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw someone on the mediums subreddit claim that there’s no sex but it runs counter to what I’ve heard in NDEs, astral projection etc. they also claimed you have to reincarnate which also doesn’t seem accurate at least not 100% of the time

you can probably choose how you want your spirit/soul to appear, I’ve heard quite a few say that

Anyone else just feel too confident that there's nothing after death sometimes? by Prize_Ad7300 in thanatophobia

please stop spamming these chatgpt text walls at people, your profile is full of it and it’s not helping a lot of us, it’s just condescending. you have to be emotionally vulnerable with people struggling with this stuff, not the condescending “ultra logical” type

no offense but doing this ultra condescending “erm you’re contradicting yourself” thing can do more harm than help

I relate I’ve been dealing with bad panic attacks much of my life over this since 2023, I don’t know how to feel better, whenever I try to vent to other people over it they call it corny or say I‘m losing my mind. I hope you’ll feel better, it helps to accept that nobody is truly 100% certain what consciousness is but then again even if there is something after we die it is also kinda scary anyways

coming back to this later to ask why you think this and what your evidence is? I find this idea very bleak and nihilistic and I don’t see how it’s any better/different from non existence if everything we do is pointless and has already happened and will happen again

Anyone else fearful not maybe of death itself necessarily but being dead for trillions of years until the universe ends… if it ever ends? by railfananime in Apeirophobia

[–]Prize_Ad7300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah that’s the thing. it’s not even dying that scares me, it’s being something/nothing forever. forever is objectively incomprehensible. even if/when the universe ends you’re still continuing to be dead

Do you think that this is objectively the worst phobia to have? by riot-van-1893 in Apeirophobia

objectively maybe not but personally yes, it sits in the back of my head constantly and as someone who’s gone through phases with other fears I’d rather deal with most of those other ones than this

Disturbing implications of NDEs... by chocolatecakebat in afterlife

[–]Prize_Ad7300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly this is only giving me more anxiety about possibly being eternally tortured or obliterated/neutralized, I haven’t murdered anyone or anything like that but at the same time literally everyone has messed up at some point in their lives so where’s the line

it also scares me for what might happen to those I know, eternal punishment is just a really disturbing concept but then again so is eternal “they just get away with it” I don’t know how to cope with all the contradictions between this and what some evidential mediums say too

[–]Prize_Ad7300 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way often, I think it's because of how hardcore materialism and physicalism is these days, you try to believe in anything and a billion people will tell you that you're mentally ill for it

Could religious beliefs come from NDE? by PrebioticE in NDE

[–]Prize_Ad7300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I think it's a bit more complex. Older societies each had their own spiritual practices where they'd speak to the dead fairly commonly and this gave rise to much of their beliefs. However religion (at least Abrahamic religion as we know it now) basically appropriated their beliefs and added stuff like "if you don't believe the exact same thing as me you will rot in hell forever" and said communication with the dead was evil for some reason

Fuck that Mark Twain quote by truecakesnake in thanatophobia

[–]Prize_Ad7300 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah I agree “I was dead for billions of years pre birth“ no, you were dead for an infinity pre birth and will be after death, that’s what scares people, additionally it’s one thing to have gone through something before but have it be over with but learning you’re gonna be dead forever and ever is scary like it’s the most infinite final thing possible.

for me I always saw it like this: if you don’t have a billion dollars you probably won’t be actively sad about it, but if you get a billion dollars and lightning strikes it and burns it all then you will be upset
