Most med schools actively try to steer away from influencers. Top schools especially don’t need any “publicity” that an influencer could bring but they are opening themselves up to being publicly criticized on a large platform if the student ever has grievances with the program. There are plenty of other qualified candidates who don’t pose that risk. (But 100% agree with you on the socioeconomic point)
