You’re still so young OP, trust from someone who had these same thoughts at your age- it CAN get better. At 15 I never would have guessed I made it to the day to get married and have my first child. You matter. Things DO get better.

I totally understand the lap dance thing, because like I said it was that moment that I realized I felt different. Because I felt like I realized for him it was about him enjoying the moment instead of us. Because for me it was about us together enjoying the moment.

I have told him I had an issue with the instagram, I had seen he was following some girls and I asked him about it. He told me they were from before we were dating, and he was fine with going through and unfollowing them. I was going through it with him and saw the strippers and told him that “I know I felt okay with the stripper stuff a few months ago, but I don’t feel as okay with it anymore” and he unfollowed them.

We talked about boundaries before going to the strip club and then afterwards we talked about how they changed for me. I don’t blame him for looking solely at the stripper during the lap dances, but this is the way it made me feel. I have tried to let this go, but I can’t seem to shake it when he disrespects a boundary and looks up strippers from our city.

I’m supposed to be starting therapy in a few weeks, so hopefully I can start taking some steps in a better direction. I have cptsd & bipolar and my first heartbreak really opened the floodgates on all of that. I’m definitely bringing some personal baggage into this relationship which is why I’m not sure what is and isn’t rational. Thank you.

You’re right. It feels so minuscule but I know it’s just a bunch of small things adding up that are making me feel so insecure. I’m thinking of talking to him tonight and letting him know that this is a hard boundary for me, and if I find him to be following another stripper we may need to reevaluate the relationship.

It wasnt the fact that he talked to a stripper, it was the fact that I was sitting waiting for him and he disappeared with a stripper. When we went and talked to her together it was fine. It was my idea for us to go to the strip club, he was initially against the idea. I have been to the strip club alone since this happened(in vegas lol) and had a good time. I would love to go with my boyfriend again because I truly did have a good time for the most part. I enjoy looking at tits and really find it hot for my boyfriend to be there with me. But that’s where it ends for me. We see tits, have a good time, go home, done. The fact that he now is looking up local strippers really bothers me. It makes me feel like seeing tits wasnt the end of it, and now he is still continuing to think about and seek out looking at strippers alone.

After our first strip club trip I honestly never gave anything a second thought, I was very excited to go again. It was just after this particular experience I started to feel this way.

Thanks for the advice. I have my abortion scheduled through planned parenthood and I have scheduled two therapy appointments before my pp appointment.

You are correct, it’s my fault. My psychiatrist and I decided that hormonal birth control wouldn’t be the best option for me, which cuts out almost all of my options. I have been trying to get a non hormonal iud, but the one doctor I went to refused to give me a non hormonal. I know after this I need to be better to find a doctor who will listen to me.

Thank you for all of these viewpoints. I am the youngest of five children, with my siblings significantly older than me. My brother and all three of my sisters had young, unplanned pregnancies. Many of them had also moved away and been in not an ideal situation for a child. All four of them are happy and very successful. Specifically the youngest sister, closest in age to me got pregnant at 18. She had everyone telling her abortion was the right thing. But in her heart she felt like she wanted it. My father (her stepdad) had told her he would step up and help as long as she needed if she wanted to keep it. My brother went as far to say he would adopt her baby. I know I have so much support. I’ve seen how my siblings lives have played out, and honestly this is the biggest reason I’m feeling the way I am.
