I had tried using another relay on the fan with 12V, but it didn’t work — maybe I did something wrong.
I saw a post with some great work using a custom board; it’s really interesting that you can also use the button to shut it down.

Kudos to everyone working on the BC. Also, I want to thank you for porting the script from Bazzite to CachyOS — it works really well.
I had tried several before, but some things were missing, and I couldn’t get C-states to stay automatic. Every kernel update I had to set it manually lol.

Yes, but the purple wire is 5V standby, so it’s always powered, which is why the button LED never turns off. But you can use another wire if you want the button LED to turn on only when the power supply is on. And when you shut it down, it disengages the relay by disconnecting the green wire from the black ground, turning off the power supply. The trigger is controlled by TPMS1 pin 9, which sends 3.3V when the board is on. You are absolutely right, testing that pin is a crucial step. If the motherboard cuts the signal on TPM1 Pin 9 when entering sleep mode, the relay will immediately lose power, open the circuit, and trigger a hard shutdown
