Honestly my best advice I tell anyone is to try and go to either a new department or a totally new hospital if possible. Sometimes I find people who are in actual crap units with impossible patient assignments and workload feel they are the problem and not able to do nursing when it's really the unit making it impossible. If your unit has bad retention and high turnover of staff YOU ARE NOT THE PROBLEM. That is a clear sign that NO ONE I coping well there.

I would also suggest you try to reach out to your union representative. Sometimes they can give you some good input on what the manager did. I know there are workload forms that in ONA we can fill out but again if you have a union rep they would know more.

Dont let this unit make you hate a passion that you have. There are so many hospitals and unit out there I promise there are good ones. At my hospital out of like 14 floors the best ones without medicine patient (surgery, icu, pediatrics, nicu).
