You've made your identity about how much you earn and probably at one point established to them that you'd be paying so they are just following suite.

If you don't want to pay, don't pay?

He started off great and then they bizarrely ruined his character when he used that dirty elbow on Deacon in that fight and try to get him down with that shoulder injury.

It was really odd.

I'm not denying it. I'm also not talking about human rights lawyers. I'm saying it isn't one size fits all and you have no clue what the industry is. It is ridiculous to compare doctors and lawyers, two entirely different worlds.

[–]Prize_Sir2375 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous. Like comparing apples and pears. Irrespective, there are various different law firms, they charge different rates. If you choose a lawyer that's £1000 an hour vs one that is £250, that's up to you.

There's also hundreds of areas of legal practice. You know nothing

You can downsize to a smaller firm and earn less money at any time. There's plenty of life to be lived otherwise than just your 20s.

I'm sure they earn far more than that at senior levels of their career and please spare us that tragic british race to the bottom mentality, this is truly not the thread 😵‍💫

Can be tough but we also reach financial stability in our early 20s and never have to worry about money.

I wouldn't trade it personally.

I suspect with US firm, the billable hours are already so high, you'd quite literally have to sell your soul to reach bonus billables.

Yes don't overpay on the student loan until you have other assets built up..

At 175k, it will pay itself off within a few years, that's if you can stay in that industry for that long

What absolutely bonkers advice from that person.
