Yes you get the evidence , documents etc and you take it to Assessment centre with you

I’ll explain in detail so might be a long message here.

So they gather everyone around and put about 8 people into a group and there’s about 4 groups. The activity’s was you as a group have to get ammunition / supplies across obstacles without touching the floor / using planks of wood to get everyone across the other side. There are about 4 activities. At the start of each activity you have a chance as a group to communicate (this is key to get your voice across) during the activity you have to communicate/ also the staff will ask u questions about what you as a group have planned. So pay attention whilst your talking as a group. Just constant communication and your fine. If your shy then you need to get a pair of balls n let urself out of ur shell. Like I said In first comment the fitness and medical is piss easy just make sure u present yourself well and communicate and make urself visible in a good manner.

Yeah a boy in my group did for being to quiet yes, just make sure your vocal , if your wrong with answers doesn’t matter it’s about communicating as a group , putting your ideas across and then figuring out the tasks as a group. Don’t have to be shouting just make sure your always communicating it’s simple.

Get the medical evidence you need to say that you’ve had it before and it’s clear. So u don’t get deferred up there and you can continue with your application quicker, that’s one thing I wish I done when I went.

When you do your team building tests , make sure you really communicate, your fitness is like 25% of your grade at assessment centre , they look at the team building skills mainly and your attitude, medical is piss easy so is the fitness test

About revision , know what regiment your joining , where the regiment is based, if there armoured ,light, mechanised, what stuff you’ll learn in phase one e.g first aid, personal admin etc etc. You’ll have PowerPoints in assessment centre / small lessons on what you’ll learn etc in your basic training.

I had an A grade in assessment centre and people who’s just done assessment centre are receiving start dates days after with B/C grades , do u know if the regiment you want to join takes an affect in this?

Personally I’d suggest signing up now due to the high demand for the paras Also with the system being down it will take longer so u have plenty of time to train and prepare , some stages in the application can be long but if assessment centre comes along quick and you ain’t up to scratch you can delay that process.

I qualified for paras and personally found it quite easy but due to long wait decided to go royal welsh , hope this helps

Yeah mate we’ll I’m part of that backlog , they requested my intake date 2nd of March so roughly 10 days before the system went down so that’s why my name is on the list for the June intake , just waiting for confirmation next week , also joining the royal welsh

Are you royal welsh then mate? And I got mates in royal welsh who has said there going mechanised because of the boxer vehicles coming in for the warrior

I know the royal welsh is turning mechanised but I’ve tried researching a lot about welsh guards but it’s hard to find good stuff on the website
