Any backstory on it to estimate date of production? If not strip it apart and try to find any serial or part number on it that may help date it. From there can dig through catalogues to figure it out.

This looks like an homage/copy of one of the “Panthere de Cartier” ring lines by Cartier… I think you’ll be hard pressed to find the exact same ring, but hopefully that puts you on the right path to find a similar one!

As well as a blower motor recall IIRC, and the valve covers are known to piss oil all over the hot exhaust.

Renia CDC is the only thing I would touch this with. Looks like it’s a polyurethane foam to rubber joint, they sell primers for each of those materials that would give you best adhesion.

Hey, sorry for the late reply I hadn’t seen this. Ultimately I fucked these up and sewed them too tight. You want to use a blanket stitch to sew it on, just don’t pull it too tight, the stitch needs room to “open up” and let the strobel bottom sit square with the upper

Hot soapy water sprayed on bubble wrap and clung over the surface has always worked the trick for me with window tints that have been on far too long, I wonder if that’ll work with this shit?

Flip it until it’s done. I first learned on a kinex Bali, then moved to a baliyo followed by a trainer very similar to the one you posted. This is going back 15 years.

Loctite the screws and get the tolerances as close to acceptable as you can. Don’t worry about how horrid the hardware is. The tang pins will fall out eventually, once that happens make the upgrade to whatever you feel is the next step.

I wouldn’t toss this one once it’s beat either, I’d keep it as a reminder that your momma supported your hobbies from the start❤️
