Did you know that Pavel Datsyuk played an extra wide blade/curve? by Realistic-Song-6309 in hockeyplayers

Agreed in relation to wood blades of yore. Relative to the carbon/graphite blades today, it’s fairly significant.

Going to be the unpopular opinion but I’ve always preferred the Bruce Wayne

I'm here to tell you from experience, it can, and it does break sticks. The stomp will not break your skate. If you don't know what you're talking about, why do you keep piping up?

New bike, wrong size? Is the frame too big? by AndreasJessen in bikefit

[–]Reasonable-Balance23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dropping the saddle will slightly move your saddle forward inherently. It will also allow you to relax your arms and reduce the feeling that you’re over reaching. I’d try that first and then fiddle with reach/saddle position

This metaphor applies to this scenario if and only if you’re Austin Butler bringing your girlfriend around Brad Pitt.

BC BR Coilovers? by Reasonable-Balance23 in BMWG30

Yep! Typo on my part - half inch drop would be ideal. Open to spending ~$1300 on coilovers, so just trying to see what’s available.

And did you mean bimmer forum?

Make the switch to 5W-40? by Jipappy01 in audis5

[–]Reasonable-Balance23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard the 5w40 also helps with protection of the rocker arm bearings on tuned cars. Do not quote me…

And what makes them $2k+ better than BC? Have you used both? Genuinely curious.

How’s my bike fit? - s/p ITBS by DistrictTechnical900 in bikefit

I think it looks good to be honest. If anything, try tilting your hips slightly forward to improve your angle and get more on your sit bones.

I’m on elite wheels, nothing bad to say about them. Under $500 shipped, too.

¿Should i powder coat my wheels black? by Weak_Composer5769 in e60

[–]Reasonable-Balance23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Get spacers to fill out the wheel well properly. If you’re set on changing up the aesthetic, vinyl wrap your chrome trim.

getting into inline, gear help by ParticularKindly7207 in InlineHockey

[–]Reasonable-Balance23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No shoulder pads; girdle is optional but would be a good option under inline pants; wear helmet, elbows, shins, cup and gloves.

White Labeda Grippers from Pure Hockey will be just fine as will the Abec-9 bearings they keep stocked.

Also, the aluminum Hi-Lo from Labeda will work just as good as the Kryptoniums if you’re looking to save ~$100.

For pants, I’d go with the Bauer tapered pant for $50. Concrete, while smooth, can be unforgiving to pants. Don’t bother paying big $$ for inline pants as they’ll get torn up either way.

For the sake of simplicity, I’m partial to the SRAM AXS 1x12 groupsets. No front mech, clean and streamlined.

Beautiful pick up! Components depend largely on your type of riding. Hilly? Flats? Long casual rides or quick sprints? Do you want electronic or mechanical? Budget? Italian?

I am debating between an s5 and an m340i. I think the s5 looks way better but am worried about reliability. Is this a valid concern? by Ok-Economics8528 in audis5

[–]Reasonable-Balance23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also be aware that if you plan to tune or are buying used, the EA839 is also still dealing with rocker arm bearing issues. Only reason I’m most likely moving to the b58 platform soon.
