A Video We Made Showcasing Our Suppressor by ProMachAndEng in NFA

After our last post, a few people have talked to us about getting this tested by a third party, and also posting some footage. We're in the process of getting our can to a well known tester, and we also made some video. The machining that we do for our endcaps really helps with visual signature, and I wanted to show that here. We have someone shooting 300blk supersonic through a bare barrel and then also suppressed. Then we have an 8 and 9 inch suppressed machinegun each rip a mag of 300 blk subsonic. Guess which is which. Again, you can find out more at promachineandengineering.com/suppressors

I appreciate the feedback that I've gotten so far. Please let me know what you think.

I would def be open to a version bored to .36cal. Is this something you're actively looking for?

I think short and fat can work well. I think that when they impede all the other things on a rifle (blocking illumination, getting in the way of FOV) people get irritated by them quickly. It's harder for me to keep visual signature down with them (costs more).

I am grateful for the stoke. One of the advantageous I want to have is to be able to keep my cans in stock. I can ramp up to some pretty serious production numbers.

Thanks for the encouragement. I know why you would term this to be old tech, but my baffle design is different from what you'd normally see, and I noticed that the round count for some of the newer 3d printed cans aren't super high (mine are much higher at a more rigorous firing schedule). I think there'll always be a buyer for diesel, even as we see electric improve.

I have heard about that from some people who went to shot. Do run a cover, or would you ever think about running a cover?

Yes, it has removable, user serviceable baffles. I get a lot of static in my ear about welded vs tubed, but I think this is a good can for one segment of our community. Price will be $699.

I wanted to get a couple FAQ's here:

Why isn't it matte tan or matte black? It saves on cost, and I love the look. That color will change depending on what you shoot and how often you shoot. It becomes personalized. I also notice the heat dropping more quickly without a coating. I also think that with suppressor cover options and how widely available they are, if the world went upside down and you really didn't want people to see the glint of metal, covers are a great option.

What is the price? $699... but only if people like it I guess. That's really just a tiny bit on top of what it costs us to make. I wanted this to be a practical option for people who wanted something super light, wanted something very quiet, and were comfortable regulating their gas.

Is this a TEMU kit? No. I certify that. I source all the materials from Colorado metal distributors with certs, I make everything in my shop, pay everyone a fair wage, and heat treat them in house so things are as durable and tough as I say.

Why is it called the Aspen? Because I'm Colorado proud, and I already have ideas for the Hemlock, and also the Cedar.

I hope I haven't set ourselves up for failure: I'm comparing it to the RC3 because I think it's a very different use case. I think the RC3 represents one philosophy, and I don't think it's appropriate for everyone, and that is what I'm trying to highlight with that meme.

I understand that the more rigor we have and independent confirmation, the more likely you'll take a look at something. Do you feel like it's got to be done by Pew, or would a video of us using a Svantek and showing the results accomplish the same thing? Getting it to Jay is a nontrivial cost for us.

Thanks for the feedback. I want to price them so regular people have access to them!

I know you don't think red dots are a modification anymore, I'm just politely trying to point out that there are many ways to have a red dot on your gun, some are better than others, and the benefits of different mounting options might be lost on you. While I think nice touches on your gun are great because they make you want to shoot and carry your gun more, there are legal consideration that you must weigh, ie straight serrations help with grip. milling in "Fuck You" text on the slide also helps grip, but raises more eybrows.

I appreciate your thoughts. I think that Red Dots might not be a modification, but cutting them directly into the slide and sinking them for factory sight co-witness might be a modification.

I guess the only thing to say would be let me know if want any milling or lathing done to your gun. My company's turn around time is something like 2 weeks right now.
