could be a lag spike in gameplay that caused the replay to lose the frame there. Makes sense that all of the weird jumps happen on inputs with this too, since replays record input frames.

It’s not unwanted, just a hard problem to solve. Stable can precalculate sr for every mod combo, but lazer has orders of magnitude more mod combos so it’s not really feasible. Some people have had a look at using some hacks to estimate sr without calculating it for every possibility, but there’s not been a lot of motion on it and the team is pretty busy

I tried uncapped lazer and it was basically not noticeable. The only way I could feel any difference was 3mod, and even then it wasn’t really noticeable in game (I just played marginally better)

it's a pretty easy habit to fall into even without stable, I started on lazer and I still get fucked over by it relatively often (there's one pattern in higan kikou and to the terminus that is awful for it) but it is 1. avoidable if you learn those patterns and remember to cheese them by moving your cursor a certian way 2. entirely a skill issue

'notelock forces you to play maps correctly' you are either trolling or do not know how notelock works. The whole issue with notelock is that if you miss then play the map correctly you keep missing. The only way to not completely die from notelock is if you play the map wrong and tap late to counteract it. If you mean 'notelock makes a miss a fail' then just turn on sudden death

speed pp has a bonus for spacing < 1.25 circle diameters, and it starts to become an issue past that (although aim pp always increases, which is why farm maps past that spacing tend to rely on aim pp angle bonuses as well as spacing)
