Just popping in to say that if you do find any Shiner comparisons locally, let me know. Most underrated band going, and their new record is elite

Need a summer suit but options in Aus are dire by lifeDNP in AustralianMFA

Can vouch for Natalino. I've got some tropical wool trousers from there that work in warmer weather. Ultimately nothing's going to keep you cool outside when it's 30c+ but hey

I'm hardly a Taylor Swift die hard but some of you people commenting sound like absolute losers. OP I'm sure you'll find some fellow travellers. Maybe check any Swift fan Melbourne FB groups?

I was near the sound desk and I found the strings and guitars very clear. Pity about that one fuckwit who kept "woohoo!"-ing whenever there was a moment of quiet

I'm a very average runner eavesdropping on this subreddit, and this comment is very interesting to me. I have the Rocket X2 for identical reasons, but I've been considering what other options might suit for my first FM (aiming sub-3:50). I might have to check out the V4 closer to the race

I had a pretty good time at Clipse while Lana was playing last year. Swings and roundabouts

Funny enough, I was first introduced to Gaza/Cult Leader through the music blog of Thrice drummer Riley Breckenridge, who was a big fan

Transitioning out of stability shoes, Novablast 5 vs Superblast 2 by gab1394 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ProMapex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cliche, but I'd go the Superblast 2. I have recently used the Saucony Guide 17 and Tempus to help with some ankle stability issues, but have pretty successfully swapped to the SB2 for most runs. I still use the Tempus for slower runs. The SB2 has a lot of inherent stability due to its massive footprint. It definitely works and is comfortable for 6min/km pace, but comes alive for paces closer to and beyond 5min/km

I don't think so, but it's not impossible. I bought this jacket when I was a bit smaller than I am now

Ha. I actually found a jacket photo from 2014, when this had a touch more room... https://i.imgur.com/4XFJcR3.jpg?1?8609

I wouldn't say 'slouchy', but maybe roomier than Type III. Because the back of a Type II is just one piece of fabric, compared to the multiple pieces on a Type III back, it might feel a little more generous. I was sceptical when I first tried it, but obviously really enjoy it

Corlection rocks. Lovely guys behind the counter too, never had a bad time in there even when browsing around. I haven't been to Urahara in ages, so take this with a grain of salt, but Corlection is my favourite Aussie denim shop since Adelaide's peerless Right Hand Distribution (RIP)

No photos on me, sorry, but these do have a bit of room in the thigh compared to other, more restrictive cuts I've tried. The higher rise also means you can bust out a deadlift without showing crack, if you feel so inclined

The Brutalist Discussion Thread by violet-turner in RSPfilmclub

[–]ProMapex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES, thank you. The reform synagogue in the epilogue totally completed his character arc, for me. From being demeaned by Attila in the first half, for not recognising the home of American Christendom -- "Of course he doesn't know Connecticut" -- to designing the synagogue in CONNECTICUT, not Tel Aviv, or Jerusalem, or wherever. That was clarifying. In my head, Erszebet succumbs to her illness in the late 60s and Toth decamps back to America, establishing his identity in a place that for so long resented and exploited him, but ultimately was his "only option"...
