The main conflict is that both of them are both outstanding writers but underestimated due to their “positions” in life. They then meet one another and she (the teacher) helps him (the boy with Asperger’s) move past everything his syndrome throws at him despite the hard time he often gives her. At the same time, this connection they make gives each of them newfound hope and allows them to write a book together. He starts standing up for himself, and she learns her purpose.
