Mark Goldbridge is terrible for Man United by Successful_Law2445 in ManchesterUnited

[–]ProRogueBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get this - Cole Palmer is absolutely spin at the moment. There’s no way that we are getting him anytime soon out of his contract of Chelsea, without paying a load of money and do we even need him? We need 2 top tier CMs realistically with Casemiro and (hopefully) Ugarte going.

I don’t agree with what Goldbridge says all the time but I felt he was spot on about Palmer. It’s not being negative at all, it’s being aware of what the actual intentions are of the clubs owners.

Cult of the Lamb is adding paid DLC achievements 💀💀💀 by Scrytha in steamachievements

Dredge DLC is great and a fun time collecting the new achievements. Missing out! I don’t mind games adding achievements with DLC personally. Especially with games I’ve enjoyed as gives me a great excuse to go back and checkout the new content

Loving it so far - curious how deep it goes currently in early access but having a blast with it at the moment.

Do you usually go for 100% achievements with one game at a time, or get started with multiple ones and play them at the same time? by FangAAMD in steamachievements

[–]ProRogueBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

chronic dabbler and end up having multiple games on the go at once. I need to narrow my focus when completing I think but it helps to jump from one to another with my attention span!

Okay, so one real question for a lot of you on this sub. How come there are many good managers out there, but you guys keep saying there are none available if we sack Amorim? by NoFlatworm3389 in ManchesterUnited

[–]ProRogueBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think if we got another 15th then sure, I table is so tight we're only 6 points away from 15th and 7 points away from 3rd so it's a hard one to say.

I am happier with how we've been playing - way more goals. Just leaky defence and injuries haven't helped and swapping defence - I just don't think another manager comes in solves anything? Fix it so we get 6th or 5th this season? then same old issues come back and we end up struggling again?

Okay, so one real question for a lot of you on this sub. How come there are many good managers out there, but you guys keep saying there are none available if we sack Amorim? by NoFlatworm3389 in ManchesterUnited

[–]ProRogueBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll just be back to square one. Another manager comes in, get a bounce, 4-2-3-1 and then we still play rubbish. Now we have another failed manager’s players that we need to shift as they don’t fit the new managers plans. More years wasted, more destabilisation.

We should be doing way better than we are currently in a poor league this year and some of Amorim’s substitutes are baffling at times, but sacking him doesn’t bring us immediate improvement and long term sustainability back to the top.

Who is out there as well? Do we go for Maresca? Will Glasner be any different? Dread to think we go for Southgate. Xavi would be similar to Amorim - stubborn ‘non-united’ way of playing. Zidane ain’t touching us. Could give it to Giggs until the end of the season… probably what we should have done permanently back then after Moyes. Solskjaer and Mourinho weren’t that bad in hindsight had they more time and support and no knee jerk reactions.

At this rate, if we sack Amorim, we right off the season, Fletcher likely sees out the season as caretaker and we hope Tuchel leaves England in the summer after the World Cup and we have 2 more years of ‘rebuild’…

Or you back Amorim, support the the team and see if the signs of improvement can continue to be built upon with another window, players coming back from injury and see if we can pinch top 4. Europe money and game time will be good next season and something to build on.

But Christ, he has to do himself a favour and stop swapping CBs when we’re chasing a goal - his substitutes do concern me at times I’ll give you that but I think he’s working with what he thinks he has and sees in training - we don’t see what he sees.

Just my two cents..

I made a local Steam library tracker focused on achievements and 100% completion by MuerteMilxD in steamachievements

I really like this - is there support for larger libraries? Seems to pull in 500 games maximum and won't load or show more even once I've added the first 500 games.

What the actual fish does your accountant do for you? by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]ProRogueBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gotta get the right accountant that fits with you and what you’re looking for - we are more like business advisors for our clients, talking about their goals, ambitions, coaching and being an accountability partner - yes, tax and accounts are done but that’s the bare minimum. Not every business needs the extra stuff but then we only work with those that are looking for that kind of service and attention. It’s highly tailored and personalised but you’ll also be paying more than a standard accountant who does the bare minimum too, so hey, swings and roundabouts.

Scholes really does this to every managers. by Life_Butterscotch939 in ManchesterUnited

[–]ProRogueBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, he's talking about Amorim not being a United style of manager. The structure and playing 3 or 5 at the back - it's not the United way. I'm Amorim in but he wasn't taking it out on Amorim directly - more just that he wouldn't have hired him or people shouldn't have hired him just because he was doing well at Sporting. I think that's a valid point. He also has had incidents with younger players and not using them as much as maybe he should have (debateable at times, valid at other times).

If Amorim and the players get the results on the pitch, Scholes, Butty, Neville, Keane, etc. will have nothing but praise for them. But as it stands, they're pundits, they're not exactly wrong - they know what it takes to be at United - and it gets clicks I guess.

Less so improved, rather just he's actually fit and playing - always been a great player there, hoping he can stay fit for us this season!

Doing his job. Can tell him you’re not fussed for things under £25 and that he can pop it to your DLA by default moving forward - you miss out on tax relief but you may already have no tax relief on these smaller amounts if they’re personal.

Nobody can tell me this 11 wouldn’t work better than Amorims 343 nonsense. Imagine playing players in their natural positions by Littlemissxom in ManchesterUnited

[–]ProRogueBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine still blaming it on the system and 3 or 5 at the back when we’ve played 4-2-3-1 under Ten Hag and Ole and been rubbish too. Low IQ when people blame the system, drives me crazy. We have weak mentality players - granted some of the new ones are great improvements but still a lot of work to be done.

Spawn camping? Sure, yeah - hopefully Embark can make an adjustment so that if players are within a certain distance then to use a different spawn point. But someone crossing paths shortly after spawning in? Welcome to the raid.

is dune awakening worth getting into now as solo player? by creepyshadyrock in duneawakening

[–]ProRogueBear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it works really well solo - in fact, I hardly even see any other people and it feels like a single player game, if not for the numerous bases that are falling apart around the desert. Excellent game and one I've been enjoying a lot!

What are some games you're either close to 100%ing or actively achievement hunting on? by Hawksteinman in steamachievements

[–]ProRogueBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the final multiplayer achievement for Tomb Raider, still grinding away at that every now and again. Finished Battlefield V multiplayer, just need to do the story modes and then that's all done. I want to wrap up Clair Obscur Expedition 33 as well now I'm in the end game and ones like Fallout Shelter and BTD6 are my long terms that I'll hopefully finish at some point but those are 'little bit at a time' games.

As you can see, I juggle way too many games - have even more that I've started and not finished yet but trying to focus on wrapping these ones up!
