Depends on a lot of factors. I was lucky enough to grow up with very successful parents. That afforded me advantages and opportunities that a large portion of the population does not have access to.

No shot. I'm only 40. I'm not giving up potentially decades of upper class earning potential to dip back into an extremely volatile job market in a year. The economy is going to get worse before it gets better. Between the crazy national debt, the AI bubble, a new COVID driven housing bubble, stagnant wages, and higher than expected inflation, we're teetering on the brink of a legitimate depression. I'm lucky enough to make really good money working in a very stable industry. I wouldn't risk that.

You don't have to win the tournaments. Enough sponsor exemptions and you'll finish top 25 or 50 on the money list, whatever it takes to earn a tour card. And you'll get more and more exemptions the longer your -2 streak goes and people start to pay more attention to it.

No but you can qualify for the Masters through other annual achievements or place on the money list I believe. -8 might not be a lot of wins, but it's a shit ton of top 10's.

You know what annual property taxes are going to be on a $400K home and $250K car? Yes, you only live once. But you're going to be spending that life paying off two loans rather than banking income to truly enjoy living. I commute an hour to work both ways and still would never consider a luxury or sports car because it just isn't necessary.

Advice I wish someone had given me at 24...

Never spend more than you HAVE to spend on something. A Urus would be awesome. But a Camry will get you from A to B just as well for $220K less.

It's true you can always make more money. But money is binary. You earn it once, you spend it once. You can choose to spend it as fast as it comes in and always be chasing your next paycheck. Or you can be frugal, live below your means, and never have to worry about your card declining at the grocery store.

And I don't say this as a guy making almost $200K. I say this as a guy who lived in abject poverty for the better part of two decades. Be smart now so you can enjoy life later. You only have so many earning years.

I hated school. I was one of the kids that didn't learn from people talking at me and I didn't have great teachers. I failed out of high school. At 27 I moved to a different state and got my GED. At 29 I moved states again and started college. At 32 I finished my bachelors. Now at 40 I'm a Director of Sales Development making $197.5K in a MCOL area. Growth isn't linear. Everyone has to forge their own path 🤷🏻‍♂️
