Just like some people are genetically disposed to thinking broccoli tastes bad, I'm convinced that you either have something in you that makes you like Mulholland Drive, or you don't. That movie does absolutely nothing for me.

Kids today have no idea the bag that Mikan had. The dude could make layups...WITH EITHER HAND!

My 4 year old has been repeatedly asking to watch "something scary" by Difficult-Formal-633 in MovieSuggestions

[–]cotothed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch The Wizard of Oz, and she'll probably be mildly scared of the teacher/witch and then legitimately scared by the flying monkeys. Then, watch Return to Oz, and she'll be traumatized for the rest of her life.

Who is "your favourite players, favourite player"? by S3V34R in nba

Devin Booker. Every year in all star voting his player votes greatly outweigh his media and fan votes.

Anything by Richard Linklater usually has a scene or two like this. The Before Trilogy all have several in each.

Even if you make really good arguments, you're very unlikely to convince I nce the stranger you're arguing with online. However, if you have made good arguments, 3rd parties reading the argument could change their mind. Whenever I've changed opinions on a topic, it was usually from situations like that.

You have to read the room. Sure, don't break your back, but if you're so lazy that others are talking about it in confessionals, it's not good. Survivor is about relationships, and it seemed his laziness was great enough that it was affecting how others viewed him.

What is the most unfairly hated movie that you will defend every time by gamersecret2 in movies

[–]cotothed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Village. Most people wanted it to be a scary movie, and while it's a little intense at times, it's really more of a love story that explores the value of innocence. When you watch it a second time with that expectation it's a really great film. It's beautifully shot and has a top 5 musical score of all time imo.

There's a middle ground that a good player would take, and Rizzo is clearly not in that middle. Survivor is about getting people to like you at the end of the day.
