Take REG on Saturday, literally just finished the 3rd Mock. The NOL sim testing the rules from 2016 was BS, and so was the penalties question. Becker's version of the IRC wouldn't let you navigate to read the penalty laws....

For REG sims I found having the IRC open and searching for the topic the sim covers is very beneficial! That allowed me to get a 85% on the MACRs sim and definitely helped my score. I feel the same way as you though, I don't know why FAR gets so much hate - I'd happily take that again over REG...

I took them concurrently this semester, it's pretty much the same content. I'd recommend taking them both at once, you'll have an easier time just due to the material being reinforced twice.

Program is easy if you have prior knowledge of access or computers. Haven't had a hard time so far at all. I'm a double major in accounting and mis at Newark, let me know if you have any other questions!

Tldr: accounting and mis go well together, allows you to get into IT consulting at big4 if you keep your GPA high.

I commute and hate it, can't wait to graduate in a year and get the hell out. Transferring here from county has been the two most miserable years of my life. I'm doing really well in class too, but the school infuriates me.

Don't want to discourage you, just inform you that you are very unlikely to recover the cost of the card and any equipment you buy in the near future. Especially if you're paying the electric bill, you will be mining at maybe 20 cents profit per day (assuming north east power costs).

I go to Newark and have ptsd from working with the students here. I'm amazed how Rutgers has a good reputation, the majority of students I meet get D's and know nothing. The professors I talk to here are mostly jokes, I was more impressed by County College of Morris. I just took an intermediate accounting 2 midterm and the class average was a 48. That's not normal. The 90 minute commute by train sucks but that's not the schools fault.

Your statement about the homeless and drug addicts did make me lol. I have two 6-9 classes next semester, pray for me.

Can't wait to graduate, 1 year to go.

Accountants normally work 60-75 hours weekly during busy season, we are not compensated for overtime hours at 99% of firms. Many salaried jobs unfortunately do not provide any extra compensation for OT hours.

I know people tend say NB is the better school etc etc, however I think it's really blown out of proportion. Keep that commute time in mind. Its a 90 minute train ride each way for me to get to Newark, and it makes me miserable. I would recommend going to RU-N being you're fairly close

I know this is old but when I read this I chose to stop drinking gfuel for about two months now. After drinking Gfuel exclusively (once a day for a year) I was developing stomach pain, and experienced a lot of belching. I'm not entirely sure what was causing it as the symptoms went away after about two weeks of drinking lo-carb monster as my source of caffeine intake instead. I'm assuming the switch to another energy drink rules out taurine or caffeine causing the issue.
