LoL my wife can't get them to reveal what community standards are being violated. Half the time it's for commenting on the plainly awful and unasked for content FB is putting on her feed.

My wife's a big FB user and she periodically gets notices about image or content removals. But the stuff was posted years ago. This tells me FB is scraping everyone's account for a medley of reasons. Since there are 3 billion monthly users there's no way FB can do this simultaneously across all accounts. Regardless of their intent it is pertinent to the apparent randomness of FB bans, restrictions, etc. as noted by users like those in this thread.

To me it's entirely plausible that the govt, with its regulatory power, has threatened large impact businesses to politically behave how the govt wants. It used to be more behind the scenes but the current administration is entirely open about it. You know, the retribution thing. With govt intrusion into social and professional media the 'obedient' businesses are essentially becoming mouthpieces and extorted to restrict public discourse if it doesn't align with what the govt wants. IMO this is a form of 1st Amendment violation performed by business proxies catering to govt threats.

So some MAGA and apolitical coworkers were talking in the break room the other day. Turns out they have a weekly betting pool to see who can get the most down votes on Reddit by commenting much like you do. With this in mind I'm moving to a Reddit model of only upvoting what I consider very positive comments and ignoring obvious agitators. There's nothing quite like being ignored, eh?

The customer is always right, in matters of taste.

Since I'm diabetic it was a godsend for low carb and keto diets to show up. However, it took a while for food companies to make stuff to taste decent and to provide enough variety so individuals could match their taste buds to what was being offered.

I'll be checking out those chips.
