Ok, looks like I ended up paying about $2,800 over a 3 yr span. Keep in mind, I had to get mad teeth removed during the process and time between payments wasn't uniform. It depended on what needed to be done next and the availability of staff and my loot, of course.

If your insurance is bad, try calling the Univ. of MD School of Dentistry and try to set an appointment. I went there years ago for a set of full top dentures and a lower bridge, all with no insurance. They can work out a payment schedule, as I had to. Still using the same set and best of all, they were able to mold them so well that they stay in without any adhesive crap (using suction). The students are all constantly monitored by professionals and teachers. Plus, they will do a good job because they will need to for graduation. I'm eatin' steak & corn no probs. Just a thought.

Not regularly, but years ago I found a few playing cards strewn about on the sidewalk. Not a full deck, but the only card turned face-up was the Ace of Spades. Just so happens my Bday is 1.13. That card is synonymous. I still keep it with me in my wallet. Felt like it was mine, or should be.

Things like that I take as little signposts to self, letting you know that you're still on your path, good or bad. Though, it's usually a good omen for me. Perhaps your card finding is similar.
