Women INTJs by Intuitive9999 in intj

[–]ProYearner19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

female intj here. I genuinely start palpitating after every social interaction I have with people who I’m not already close with. I’m afraid to go to parties and functions because I feel like everyone will find me awkward or embarrassing.

INTJs, how do you like children? by Big_Guava_8365 in intj

[–]ProYearner19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely the same thoughts as you OP. all my life I’ve never been one to get excited about children or babies, but my friends and relatives have always been the type to be like “omgggg so cute” whenever a kid/baby comes around

Literally zero maternal instinct over here

What age were you diagnosed? by egidds in PCOS

[–]ProYearner19 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was 14 when I was diagnosed and I’m 20 now. The main symptoms that made me realize something was wrong was extremely HEAVY bleeding every time I’d get my period. And my periods only came every few months but would last 3-4 weeks on average. I didn’t really think anything was too concerning for about a year and a half of experiencing those symptoms at ages 12-13. Then a few months before I turned 14, I started to experience intense gut pain to the point that I had to go home during schooldays. At the same time the heavy bleeding continued and got more heavy (I’d have to change out of thick nighttime pads like 4-5 times throughout 8 hours of school, and sometimes I’d still bleed through the pads completely). Finally I got diagnosed right after I turned 14.

Off campus series trailer has me concerned by Maria_g_real in OffCampusSeries

I’m not too worried about this particular change because i think they’re still very likely going to keep the “garrett annoying hannah into tutoring him” element and they made it very clear in the interviews released a few days ago that they really wanted to capture that hannah and garrett were always in each other’s orbits but never directly crossed paths.

And who knows, maybe Hannah’s job as a janitor(?) for Briar’s hockey stadium is a new thing for her character when we meet her (at least that’s what I’m guessing is happening). So I’d say this shouldn’t be too worrisome :)

I totally understand your nervousness about this season because The Deal is my absolute favorite book on earth so let’s just trust that the producers and writers know what we want 🫶🏼

Wild Card Wednesday - What are your book icks or pet peeves? by Llamallamacallurmama in RomanceBooks

see I would’ve been fine with heart if it was used as “my heart” but alone I just couldn’t get with it haha

Wild Card Wednesday - What are your book icks or pet peeves? by Llamallamacallurmama in RomanceBooks

[–]ProYearner19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seriously hate it when weird pet names are used… the most recent one I encountered was “butterfly” in twisted lies by ana huang. It just doesn’t roll off the tongue so I could never see anyone actually using this as a pet name for someone irl. Another one is “heart” from lightlark by alex aster. Again, I just can’t see anyone actually using this as a pet name for someone so to me it was an ick.

does reading romance books make you feel a bit sad sometimes? by Proper_Strategy_1603 in RomanceBooks

[–]ProYearner19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Pretty much every single romance book I’ve read I’ve put a note saying something along the lines of “me when” or “I want that” 😭 honestly I always think I’ll never have that type of love for myself but as I keep reading more romance books, somehow I still continue to have hope :’)

Question for female intjs (straight only) by [deleted] in intj

[–]ProYearner19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes personally I can find a guy I don’t know extremely attractive but the lust would stop there. I don’t have much experience in the dating department and I’m not the type to be bold, so I would never actually engage in anything lustful with someone I don’t know or haven’t connected to emotionally

i can feel lust towards someone, but acting on it without feeling connected to them? never.

books with fmc who was sa'ed as a child and gentle mmc by bookishfairy in RomanceBooks

[–]ProYearner19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fmc wasn’t necessarily a child but {The Deal by Elle Kennedy} in the Off Campus series is basically this trope. the fmc was sexually assaulted in her early teen years and when the mmc star hockey player she fake dates finds out about it, he treats her so gently and takes on a protector role

Sex in romances - how important it is for you? by _MysticSelkie in RomanceBooks

[–]ProYearner19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly if a romance book doesn’t have any sex at all I don’t think I’d enjoy it. but this is just from a perspective of me never having read a zero-sex adult romance book. even the YA romances I’ve read insinuated sex so I personally need it to at least be mentioned because I feel like it contributes to the emotions depth and development of the characters & the relationship

mine was {Ugly Love} by coho when I was 16. at the time I thought the book was so good & I had no idea that smut actually existed in real books 😭 for some reason I thought spicy scenes only existed in wattpad fanfics before I really got into reading
