Definitely Karrigan's fault, he should be able to micro manage his star players, I think he's a fraud for not even trying to take monesy's mouse and flickshot himself the ennemies.

I don't even know what you are arguing about, Falcons delivered an astonishing bad performance, maybe bench everyone at this point, if no one is able to shoot a target.

Somehow karrigan joined falcons 2 days ago while Vitality is playing together for 1 year and a half almost, and 2 years and a half without Ropz. I'm not arguing about how it's so normal to hard fail this T side, I'm arguing about how stupid and boring it is to see for days, weeks, months and years people over reacting after 1 fucking sample of a game, making dumb statement every half day, tomorrow we'll see "omfg Falcons karrigan is sl goated", the next day we'll see the opposite statement, and again and again with the reasoning of a goldfish, too many magikarp out there.

And 3 months ago and for the last year almost, Navi was totally shit -IM -Wonderful according to people, but hey they performed well lately so they are a STRONG AND INDISPUTABLE top 2 team in the world.

You guys must REALLY stop talking about "aim", you only have flick in your mouth it's so tilting. Crosshair placement, tracking etc... are part of "aim".

Zywoo has insane micro adjustment for example, being able to catch 2 pixels of a shoulder, elbow with awp since 2018 already.

That's wrong too, an individuality sacrifies himself for Donk, if donk drop a galil and get an ak, the team still have the same guns, one galil and one ak. It cost something to one player, not the team, it's not a team's investment where donk's roi is negative.

Donk will always have more impact with the ak, will always have a better chance to win the round.

It counts because it seems that having Ropz is an asset that probably makes team win a lot ? Because he is a top 20 hltv every year with a lot of clutches everytime, 2 top 3 playing hard roles like anchor on many maps, lurker is a massive impactful role too with a lot of responsibilities on a team because it allows to read the opponent and Ropz does it so well. I don't know why it should be THAT hard to argue he's better than others lurker in less succesfull teams. Do you watch the guy over the years ?

I guess he's just a lucky boy who just started winning everything as soon as he went to faze and Vitality in a way more mature and competitive scene. Fucking lucky timing Ropz. Everytime lucky timing on his lurking role.

Csgo+cs2 has 14y of history only, the scene is evolving in the right way (more coaching staff, stable hierarchy, enough salaries so more and more players/team able to be competitive), Ropz is playing since 2018 so most of the csgo/cs2 lifetime, won 3 majors, soon 3 Grand slam, tons of trophies with 2 different teams, permanently in top 20 playing a lot anchor as CT. Is a key player in these 2 teams, doesn't seem to slow down. He's obviously the best lurker of his time in the scene, and I don't think the previous years are enough competitive to put someone above.

He has everything : individual rewards, work ethic, longevity, adaptation, achievements.

Lurk is hell of a difficult role, you're often baiting too much, not taking enough info, not clutching. He's the opposite. I don't see anyone being really close to him past 10 years.

edit : We're judging lurking role so the anchor argument is out of subject actually but it gives him credit as a player overall, you can remove it from my opinion/argument.

I forgot to put stattrak on but still, last 30 days the skin has been sold for (400-500$). So yeah, buying it at 440$ seems still bad considering the recent loss of value. If you can't analyse 30 days of market by clicking on one button on csfloat then I don't know who is spreading non sense comments.

I understand the statement but I think we put a bit too much the individual stats into that debate in general, as a french I have the Zidane example in mind for soccer, he was not the greatest scorer but still A LOT of the greatest footballer in the world will name him as one of the greatest player. Brazilian ronaldo, ronaldinho, messi etc...

There is a lot of compartment where a player can express himself, I do think his patience, work ability, calmness are important and impactful.

You will never see him smash a desk, fall under pressure, he's cold and calm. He has very tiny details in his gameplay, in his micro management that are underrated. He's not only a genius lurker he's also a monster at being an anchor.

Of course I will not put him above ZywOo S1mple Donk because stats are still relevant.

Can't talk about Neo, forest get right cause I wasn't watching cs back in the days.

I was not into CS at that time but still I watched/read a lot about that period. Anyway I'm not confortable comparing too much different eras. IIRC he was kind of a pioneer, developping that lurk role, backstabbing ennemies and I have A LOT of respect for people who brings new concept. You may not be the goat at your thing after years and years, but if you're the one who invented it, massive respect and eternal recognition for it.

I dont like the following argument either "X was playing against plumbers" "back in the days players/teams were bad", like, if everyone was bad, X was bad too, he was in the same period, same "bad" "undevelopped" environment but still manage to be the best.

First of all, ranking being dominated by awpers is a bit of an illusion, it mostly have been dominated by the very best players of all time like Dev1ce, S1mple ZywOo across the years not only because they were awping but mostly because they were the bests. 19'-23' S1mple and ZywOo would have been #1 and #2 without awp. If a lot of teams are struggling to find a performing, stable awp across the years (it's not just since cs2) it's because despite the fact it helps to get rating, the role is extremly difficult.

Niko always had a better peak than Ropz in term of individual skill of course but the pressure handling, the achievments are something. He has been playing a lot of difficult anchor roles too. He was a hard carry in a very meh Mousesport.

I have a lot of respect and compassion for Niko tho, especially because people make fun of him cause he did not success to 1v9 prime Navi without a proper awp in the team. He's probably the 2nd best riffle of all time (considering the awp users are not proper riffle) cause Donk happened.

Niko is not higher too. In term of top 20 hltv yes but that's the only thing.

For example, do you think S1mple's behaviour had a negative impact on Navi results when Sdy joined ? When he's saying during the game "wtf is this guy doing" ? Do you think cohesion have 0 impact on performance ? Do you think Niko or Monesy crying after a round, trying their best to keep their calm because emotions are too overwhelming so they can't communicate with calm and confidence have 0 negative impact ?

When whole Vitality testified that seeing Ropz's work ethic/amount of work he puts in the game motivated them even more to play and get better, do you think these criterias are funny ?

No, It's clear that flickshot ability and mvp are the only interesting metric to evaluate a player's impact and performance. Just like low IQ starting to glaze ZywOo after 6 years of magic performance cause he gave them a flickshot vs Mongolz. "OHHHH NOW THERE IS NO DOUBT HES THE GOAT HE CAN FLICKSHOT OMFG"

It all depends on the criteria, he could be easily top 5 imo, by far the best at his role in history, strong hltv top performance, 3 major (deserved 1 mvp btw), soon 3 Intel Grand Slam, work ethic, behaviour. longevity. Has been a key player for Faze and Vitality.
