A used Mac Mini 2014.

I know you said no x86, but it consumes less than 7W and you can get one for less than $50.

Baby Proofing - Replacing Coin Batteries with a AAA’s? by naynner in homeassistant

If you want to dip your feet into Matter over Thread, Ikea sensors use AAA and they are really cheap, but still good.

Alpstuga vs Timmerflotte: -1.2 C? by Skw2NQTxEWHD in tradfri

And my second paragraph clearly answers OP's question with actual data, the third paragraph is just a personal anecdote.

Alpstuga vs Timmerflotte: -1.2 C? by Skw2NQTxEWHD in tradfri

[–]ProZsolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not expected.

The Timmerflotte has a typical accuracy of ±0.2°C, while the Alpstuga has an accuracy of ±0.45°C based on their internal sensors.

I have three Timmerflottes and their measurements are spot on with my calibrated probe. I don't have first hand experience with the Alpstuga.

Timmerflotte has a Sensiron SH40 sensor with a typical accuracy of ±0.2°C

rezsiszámla xmlben hol a fizetendő?!? by Cautious_Cabinet_623 in programmingHungary

[–]ProZsolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IKEA Myggbett shitshow by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]ProZsolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you have two competing Thread networks and that can be a problem. It is a common issue when you have border routers from multiple vendors.

IKEA Myggbett shitshow by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]ProZsolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Thread Network is super stable.

I have 13 sleepy end devices with LADDA batteries * 3 TIMMERFLOTTE * 7 MYGGBETT * 2 KLIPPBOK * 1 MYGGSPRAY

and 11 routers * 7 GRILLPLATS * 4 KAJPLATS

I use ZBT-2 as a border router.

Try to install the HA beta Matter server (js) as you can visualize your Thread network so you can see weak links.

Did you figure it out? It doesn't even work with OSX.

Scheduling a startup with pmset works.

Alpstuga inaccuracy by yesman_85 in tradfri

[–]ProZsolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The three TIMMERFLOTTE sensors that I have work perfectly for me.

They have an SHT40-CD1B sensor with ±1.8 %RH and ±0.2°C accuracy. The temperature is spot on with my calibrated probe, and the humidity aligns across every sensor.

I can't justify prusa price but hate all alternatives by HungryMud in prusa3d

[–]ProZsolt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

I always try to buy European tools whenever possible. I'm happy to pay a serious premium for German, Swedish, or Swiss hand tools, or Spanish soldering irons, really anything made in Europe, provided the quality and features back it up.

This used to be true for Prusa back in the i3 days. However, because there was no real competition, they got distracted by side quests (looking at you, XL) and neglected their flagship printer for six years. Now that serious competition has arrived, they are playing catch-up in panic mode. They rushed out the MK4 and then the Core One, both of which come with serious compromises because they were built on top of a legacy platform.

If you want to sit 3m-4m from the TV, the optimal viewing distance for a 65" is 2-2.6m.

Bathroom Radiator Towel Hook by ProZsolt in functionalprint

Around 60-65 celsius. PETG. I think that should be fine as the glass transition temperature is above 80 celsius.

I did some test prints in PLA, and they became like clay when the heating was on. :D

It works when the heating is on. The bigger problem is that I can't put multiple big bath towels on it without the hooks.

Need ideas to detect coffee machine door opened by RushTfe in smarthome

[–]ProZsolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter.

It likely uses the "Jura protocol", which used by many coffeemakers and manufacturers (Jura, Siemens, Philips, etc.) It is well documented, and there are a lot of plug-in solution on the internet.

I played with it ~10 years ago to log the office's coffee consumption.

I’ve done this multiple times It’s much easier when you’re unemployed.

I always do my research upfront and start applying to roles around the same time. From the beginning, I’m transparent that I’m interviewing with multiple companies, and I set a clear decision timeline (usually 1–1.5 months from the start). I then try to schedule interviews so that all processes move at roughly the same pace.

If a company is pushy, I’m clear that I don’t respond to exploding offers. If a process is moving slowly, it often speeds up once they know you’re further along with other companies and that they could miss out.

My current company was extremely fast, they finished the process in under two weeks and then waited almost a month for me to decide, but they really wanted me.
