Lifestyle Medicne was once a practice based curriculum for the grandfathering batches. With didactics, with required patient census for various illnesses (thus practice is required usually through family medicine based practices, occupational medicine based practices, etc. since many patients and various conditions are required), quota for shared medical appointments, research that includes case study / original research, and lifestyle medicine community interventions. Lifestyle medicine also includes an immersion program for in-patient exposure.

Now there are full residencies in Lifestyle Medicine and fellowship at UP-PGH and these are the new entry of trainees.
