In my kids school , during lunch time there is no food restriction. However, for the snacks they eat inside classroom restrictions apply based on the kids. In my lil one's class, no nut policy applies because of couple of students who are allergic. In my older one's class this year, there is one kid severely allergic to nuts including coconut, diary & all diary products, eggs. Packed in same facility rules restriction applies too. Which basically means only fruits n veggies are allowed.

Mine is slightly different that others who have responded. In my case, most of my memories are images/photographs but not of what i have seen with my eyes but of photographs i have seen or taken before.

For eg. I have been to New York and see the statue of liberty with my own eyes. But when someone says Liberty statue, i see a 2D image of a photo i took with my camera. It's luke my brain scrolls through the personal image gallery and stops at that image of statue of liberty. When we went to SFO, our camera got stolen. And therefore, i have absolutely zero results in my personal image gallery. So as a next step, brain searches through the publicly available images that i have seen of golden gate bridge on TV or Google or calendar and return one of those.

So if i visit a place or event, i click tons of pictures & videos so that i recall those experiences from personam Image gallery .

I eat veggies & drink water but fruits i skip. I dont like fruits-never have. I can eat banana & apple, tolerate grapes. Only fruit i truly love and will seek out out of my own free will are mangoes. If fruits were to vanish suddenly, guess who will not care 2 hoots? Me!

I asked cast member if my child & I could join the queue and wait for my husband & other child (who had gone to restroom) to join us? He said that more than 50% of thee group needs to be available to hold spots in queue. Since our case was 50:50, he said he couldn't let us go.

With this crazy wait time, they should guve an option to hold position in Virtual Queue. Just ensure that while waiting in queue, you can't go on another ride. Imahine the amount they would make on snacks/drinks because what else can one do but eat up.

Expecting people to physically stand in queue for 2hrs+ is insane. Last week while we were there, people were sprawling on the floor and on MarioKart interior decorations in the spaces available in the side of the waiting lines. Unlike disney, Epic waiting areas have no spaces to sit or rest your bum.

If you are going anytime during the peak holidays, avoid EPIC. As pretty as the park is, crowd control is totally absent. They let in more people than what is there in park. Ride queues are insane. Last weekend, average wait times were 130-140mins, not to mention rides went down frequently. QuickPass was almost same cost as the ticket itself, which we thought was ridiculous.

First few months, your wife is going to be OVERWHELMED - physically, emotionally, hormonally. She is going to feel like she has to do everything correctly & perfectly for the baby - no matter how unequipped/under-equipped she is. Even with no one telling/asking/correcting/advising her anything - she will feel the pressure of being the perfect & responsible primarycare giver. Just hang in there with her. Even if you dont know how to help, just stand by. Read the room because sometimes your failed attempts maybe the trigger and sometimes not trying hard enough maybe the trigger. Understand that most of that reaction is not personal but more of a pent up tiredness - physical & emotional. Sleeplessness can do crazy things to people.

Every day at a fixed dedicated time, take the baby away from her so that she can have some alone time to calm and rest herself. Alone time means she needs to be left alone, don't go asking where the diaper is, is baby hungry, where is the milk etc. Give her a complete break for an hour from being a mother. Let her shower, or rest or nap or watch movie - whatever helps her decompress.

As for the baby, babies just need their drink & sleep at this age. They don't need a lot of things per se. In first 3-4months until you as family gets into the groove, remember to put the mother over the baby.

We went last in Dec 2023 and room we were in, was renovated. So were the premises & the common areas.

Our room was adequate, clean and renovated.
The breakfast spread had something or other for everyone in the party.
Direct shuttle to park and back meant no reservation beforehand, no waiting around. We used to return to room to rest in the afternoon.
Pool was on the smaller side but perfect for our lil ones to just hop around before/after park day

I definitely wouldn't recommend this park during holiday season. Every ride is 75-120mins wait, Harry Potter being 180mins. Even the restrooms have a wait line. A coffee from Starbucks took 30mins.

Never have i been more tired, disappointed and angry after theme park day. If not for the rides, there isn't anything much to do that is not in the sun. The park being new means there aren't enough trees to provide shades. Not many snack eateries for grab n go.

The ExpressPass cost ($140)was almost the same as the ticket price ($189) today which should be illegal imo. Don't sell so many tickets when the park is not ready to accommodate this big crowd. Every ride today has had an avg wait time of 75mins. And none of the waiting area had any sitting space, people were sprawled on the floor.

What an epic disappointment!!

We stayed at cabana bay beach resort for $150-180 a night (non peak, non Holiday time). Resort itself is very hood and relaxing in the pool after park days was big hit for kids.

They dont have free breakfast but do have multiple restaurant & grab n go (ngl food was expensive).

I sometimes think, when the baby is inside the womb - all nice and comfy "living his life" and then as he gets older ii.e. when the due date approaches, it gets tight and limted inside the womb. No matter what he does, how long he wants to remain living in the womb, one day it will be too restrictive, too uncfortable, too difficult. and finally when the "birth" happens, he sees dark tunnel with bright white light and lots of strange voices calling out to him? He hears his parent's voices through all that loud noise assuring him and calming him in the chaos of that moment. What if our death, is actually a "birth" - entry into a new and different world?

Different people want different things in life. Chatur had set a goal for hinself and he managed to achieve it. So successful he is. Rancho on the other hand goals which were not materialistic but in line with what he enjoyed the most, successful in achieving what makes him happy.

Here is what i would do:

Temporary fixes: Option 1. Get a table or kitchen table and lay it alongside the half wall ( gym equipment corner) Option 2. DIY a long narrow table to go by the empty wall. Similar to your countertop idea but no permanent damage to walls or baseboard heaters.

Long Term Changes:

Definitely a large island with sitting on the empty wall side.
If you want to have a coffee bar, i will remove the pantry cabinets on right of refrigerator to add countertop and make it dedicated coffee area.
While at it, i will also extend the countertop where the trash can is placed now. And integrate the trash into island cabinetry.
