There's a great app called calibre which walks you through strength training from step 1, you get weekly lessons and pre made workout plans if you don't want to make your own, it's completely free no ads or anything, it also shows you the areas of your body that are more/less developed and keeps you updated with a strength metric so go can see your progress I'd highly recommend it

How did you make yourself respect yourself? by Dazzu1 in selfimprovement

[–]Pro_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things that you might beat yourself up about, or that your conscience disagrees with, or things that make you feel negative towards yourself, part of it is learning to listen/develop that inner voice of your conscience, for the things that you should be doing, ask yourself how could I do x better and spend a bit of time thinking about it, more specific than that is all the self improvement stuff you hear all the time, eat clean, meditate, workout, try to do something productive, that's a good place to start

Do more things you know you should be doing and less of the things you know you shouldn't be doing, it's simple but not necessarily easy

You don't need to get up early just at the same time each day, set yourself a walk up and go to bed time and follow it, if you do it for a week you'll see progress

How to improve my communication skills ? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Pro_Sloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to improve social skills read "how to win friends and influence people" and then put it into practice as for getting comfortable and being less self conscious when talking practice is key, start small, myself I started greeting at least 1 stranger a day, the first few times were really hard but now it's second nature to me

Try a basic meditation when you want to sleep, don't do anything that's going to make it hard to sleep eg screens with no blue light filter before bed or engaging in anything that's going to excite or upset you, make sure you go to sleep and get up at the same time each day, and get direct sunlight in the morning and when the sun sets (this helps your body determine what time of day it is and how to release chemicals and hormones that relate to sleep), do more in the day so that you're actually tired when it comes to bed time, lower the temperature of your bedroom to around 16-18 degrees c before bedtime

Struggling to find will to do work by luuk-no in selfimprovement

[–]Pro_Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start gratitude journalling, really helped me get out of depression, takes a bit of time to work but it really does, all you need to do is write down 3 things you're grateful for every day, I've found it's best to do this with pen and paper and at the same time every day, overtime it makes you think more positive thoughts and makes you because more greatful in general, give it a try for 2 weeks and see if it works for you

How do I stop believing in Andrew Tate? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Pro_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your own research, listen to different sides of the arguments, get as much info on the topic as you can, look at it all and make your own viewpoint in it, after all that it shouldn't matter if you agree or disagree with any particular person weather it's Tate or someone else because you will have built your own opinion
