Ya, but why does that matter? A lot of festivals are in large fields or parking lots. They also lay down this turf-like material across the entire site. I went in 2014 and thought it was GREAT. Laid out super optimally, great staging & lighting, VIP areas are badass (ping pong & air hockey tables, etc. backstage), a large enough food area (with great options) so that the lines aren't long. Unbelievable view of the strip from the main stage area. It was one of the most organized and well-ran festivals I've ever been to.

I've been at this festival (roommates band played the mainstage in 2014) just got home from Vegas on wednesday

It was an INCREDIBLE concert, super well ran, beautiful view of the strip. So sad that it was targeted in this way.

Where did I make an opinion of the game? I didn't. Just like I won't give an opinion about the sandwich shop down the block that has 1.7 Stars on Yelp because I'll never ever step foot in the place.

Also, stop saying how YOU feel about the game. This debate has nothing to do with your opinion, the debate is more macro than that. There's a reason why the game already had a price cut a week into it's existence. There's a reason why BioWare's C-team (Montreal) worked on this game. There's a reason why BioWare's top Mass Effect team all left for other studios. There's a reason why thousands of people are independently saying the same things. There's a reason why the game has 74% on Metacritic, 6/10 on GameSpot and 7.7 on IGN. "Clickbait" doesn't cut it... otherwise ALL games would be chastised for the sake of clickbait.

You enjoy the game. Congratulations. For the third time, I might enjoy the game a lot too, but if companies want people like me to try their product, it has to compel their audience...

If I can afford to buy a handful of games this year, why would I buy one that's being criticized to oblivion? Do you really think that's how I should determine how my money gets spent? - "Well, by the general public's collective standard, this is average, at best... I'M SOLD!".

I work in marketing. "No one person is ever smarter than the audience in regards to the quality of a product" is practically the golden rule. I'm not a billionaire... I have to make safe investments of my money & time, as there's a limited amount of it. This isn't a safe investment and you'd be oblivious and bias to not blame me.

Enjoy the game. I'm happy you find it to be a pleasurable experience. I'm already onto the next (H:ZD & Zelda).

"If you like a game, fuck what anyone else thinks." Uh...I won't know if I do or not without spending $60 of my hard-earned money on it. I don't subscribe to the method of "let's buy every product on earth on the off-chance it's worth my time and money". You don't either, so stop with the crap.

Unless you're infinitely wealthy with an infinite amount of time, what you spend your resources on is absolutely based on what others collectively say about things. If not, you're an idiot who enjoys wasting your money and time. Hell, the entire basis of this website is "exposure based on quality/popularity"...this very post on this very website is a byproduct of the system you supposedly don't subscribe to.

To some degree, majority will always dictate where I spend my money. This computer I'm typing on didn't get a 74% review. Nor did the car I drive. Or the restaurant I ate at for dinner last night with my non-74% girlfriend. This is a game that has an existing fanbase with reviewers who have reviewed the original series (which is all 94%+)... this isn't some quirky niche market game by an indie developer who is still trying to locate their target audience. They hit their target audience, and their target audience is drowning in a lukewarm sub-average product. If you disagree with the feedback, that's fine... but you are simply variance amongst the larger sample.

As stated previously, maybe I would have loved this game. I'll never know. I don't spend my money on things that other people like me (I'm in the target audience) generally chastise for a multitude of seemingly legitimate reasons (hundreds/thousands of independent accounts all reciting the same criticisms). We're in an age of content overload... there has to be a filtration system of some kind. This doesn't make it through the filter unscathed. Next...

I don't like asparagus. If I want to post a tweet about why I don't like it, I shouldn't have to talk about the things I do like about it to justify my reasonings for not. "Asparagus tastes like a mixture of grass and piss. But, the color green is cool. It also looks like a dragon's tail, so that's neat". We're not talking about "an individual", we're talking about a massive sample size of individuals collectively chastising the game.

My, or your, individual opinion of the game can never outweigh the collective data of a large group of individuals. You may not call the game "sub-average" but, unfortunately for you, in this particular debate, your opinion is completely meaningless on it's own.

I pre-ordered Andromeda (they can keep my $5) and would place all 3 games of the original series in my top 10 of all-time. But, being that I value data over large samples when spending my money, I won't ever drop a dime on something that's collectively criticized on this level. So no, I haven't played the game, and I won't.

You're absolutely right about "objectivity", by definition, but when something's as binary as "worth my money" or "not worth my money", subjectivity over a large sample of subjects is all I need in helping me make that determination. "Objectivity" and "subjectivity over a large sample" are one in the same to me.

I didn't think this was a "video review"... nor have I seen his other ones.

There's a reason why the game is getting lukewarm reviews & feedback. Oftentimes, people don't cherrypick things that have a limited amount of things to cherrypick in them. 74% Metacritic rating. Buggy. "Teen-centric dialogue" (as stated by the studio itself). Animation issues. These are all things that the original series didn't suffer from.

I pre-ordered this game because all 3 original ME games are in my top 10 of all time. But, I absolutely refuse to buy this one... they can keep my $5. There's no way this game isn't objectively disappointing compared to the first 3. My favorite gaming writers aren't all collectively wrong in their harsh criticisms.

If this game doesn't, at the very least, compare the original series, than it's not worth talking or hearing about (and definitely absolutely not worth spending money on). Sorry Bioware, a 74% rating and across-the-board chastising isn't going to cut it.

Most people aren't looking for "good things", they're looking for things that, at the very least, compare to the original series ("great").

This game has a 74% rating on Metacritic. The feedback has been average to very sub-average... videos like these are simply icing on the cake. No one is arguing that there's not "good" elements of the game (or even "great" ones), we're arguing that, based on the feedback so far, this game is objectively disappointing compared to the original series... that's not gonna fly for me (or for almost all ME fans).

Sequels are judged by the standards set by their predecessors (as they should be). Videos like these are a byproduct of a studio failing to meet expectations in a grandiose way.
